TAFSEER OF QUR'AN 81, Suurah At-Takwīr (The Overthrowing) continues

Yaum As-sabt | 5th day of Muharram, 1448 AH | Saturday, 20th June, 2026. *_TAFSEER OF QUR'AN 81, Suurah At-Takwīr (The Overthrowing) continues_*. BismilLah. 


Let's continue with our studies of suurah At-Takwīr.

Verse 10.

وَإِذَا الصُّحُفُ نُشِرَتْ

"And when the records (of deeds) are laid open." Commentary:

After describing the dramatic changes in the universe and the gathering of creation from verses 1-9, ALLAH Azzawajal now turns our attention to individual accountability. The word "Aṣ-Ṣuḥuf" refers to the records in which the Angels have written every deed of every person throughout their lives. Nothing is omitted, not even the smallest action, word, intention, or glance. 


On the Day of Judgment, these records will be opened and displayed before their owners. Every person will see the reality of what they sent forth in this world.

ALLAH Azzawajal says elsewhere:

"And the record will be placed, and you will see the criminals fearful of what is in it, and they will say: 'Woe to us! What is this book that leaves nothing small or great except that it has recorded it?'" (Qur'an 18:49).

No one will be wronged, because the records will contain a complete and accurate account of every deed. Allahu Akbar. To be continued tomorrow in Shaa ALLAH. 


*_We ask ALLAH Azzawajal to keep guiding our hearts, protecting our Eemaan from every satanic influence, and granting us sincerity in worship until we meet HIM_*. Aameen.

 *BEST TIME FOR TAHAJJUD* It is best to delay this prayer to the last third portion of the night. Abu Hurairah reports that the Messenger of Allah said: "Our Lord descends to the lowest heaven during the last third of the night, inquiring: 'Who will call on Me so that I may respond to him?
