Yaum Al-khamis | 3rd day of Muharram, 1448 AH | Thursday, 18th June, 2026. *_TAFSEER OF QUR'AN 81. Suurah At-Takwīr (The Overthrowing) continues_*. BismilLah. 


Let's continue with our studies of suurah At-Takwīr.

Verse 5

وَإِذَا الْوُحُوشُ حُشِرَتْ

"And when the wild beasts are gathered together."

Animals that normally flee from one another will be gathered by ALLAH Azzawajal. This demonstrates the magnitude of that Day when every creature will be brought before its Creator.

Verse 6

وَإِذَا الْبِحَارُ سُجِّرَتْ

"And when the seas are set ablaze (or overflow)."

The oceans, which cover most of the earth, will undergo dramatic changes. Classical scholars explained this as the seas overflowing, while others mentioned they will be ignited by ALLAH'S command. This is another sign of the complete transformation of the universe.

Verse 7

وَإِذَا النُّفُوسُ زُوِّجَتْ

"And when the souls are paired."

People will be grouped according to their deeds, beliefs, and character. The righteous will be with the righteous, and the wicked with the wicked.

 *BEST TIME FOR TAHAJJUD* It is best to delay this prayer to the last third portion of the night. Abu Hurairah reports that the Messenger of Allah said: "Our Lord descends to the lowest heaven during the last third of the night, inquiring: 'Who will call on Me so that I may respond to him?
