Yaumul ahad | 13th day of Muharram, 1448 AH | Sunday, 28th June, 2026. *_DEALING WITH A DIFFICULT HUSBAND WHILE SEEKING THE PLEASURE OF ALLAH AZZAWAJAL_*. BismilLah. 


To my dear sisters in Islaam, always remember that Marriage is a test from ALLAH Azzawajal for both the husband and the wife. Sometimes a wife may find herself married to a husband who is difficult, harsh, neglectful, or lacking in good manners. At such times, Shayṭān seeks to create hatred, anger, and disobedience. The believing wife should remember that her ultimate goal is not merely pleasing her husband, but pleasing ALLAH Azzawajal.

ALLAH Azzawajal says: "Live with them in kindness." (Qur'an 4:19).

This command is directed to husbands, reminding them to treat their wives well. However, when a husband falls short, a believing wife should not respond by falling short in her own duties before ALLAH Azzawajal.


ALLAH Azzawajal also says:

"...Indeed, ALLAH is with those who fear Him and those who do good."

(Qur'an 16:128). This means that no act of patience, forgiveness, or righteousness goes unnoticed by ALLAH Azzawajal.


The Messenger of ALLAH ﷺ said:

"If a woman prays her five daily prayers, fasts her month (Ramadan), guards her chastity, and obeys her husband, it will be said to her: 'Enter Paradise through whichever gate you wish.'" This obedience is in what is lawful. The Prophet ﷺ also said: "There is no obedience to any created being if it involves disobedience to the Creator."(Musnad Ahmad).

Therefore, if a husband commands something sinful, she must politely refuse while maintaining good character.


A wife who controls her anger, avoids insulting words, and responds with wisdom earns a great reward from ALLAH Azzawajal. To be continued tomorrow on how to handle a difficult wife. Abu Hurairah reports that the Messenger of Allah said: "Our Lord descends to the lowest heaven during the last third of the night, inquiring: 'Who will call on Me so that I may respond to him?
