*AR-RAHĪQ AL-MAKHTOUM (The Pure Nectar). A Treaties On Prophet Muhammad's Biography.*

*Part 33*

*THE PROPHET (Blessings and Peace be upon him) PROCLAIMS THE CALLING FROM ABOVE THE MOUNTAIN OF AS-SAFA*

After the Prophet (Blessings and Peace be upon him) made sure of Abu Tālib's commitment to protecting him when conveying the Message of Allāh, he ascended the mount of As-Safa and stood on its top crying out: "Ya Sabāhah! (O calamity of the morning!) (It is an expression denoting a warning of the attack of an army or the occurrence of a serious matter). Then he kept calling the tribes and septs of Quraish one by one saying: "O sons of Firhr! O sons of 'Adeyy! O sons of 'Abdu Manāf! O sons of 'Abdul-Mutallib! Upon hearing him, people asked who was crying out. They knew that it was Muhammad. Then they, including Abu Lahab and some Qurayshites, hastened to him and gathered. The one who couldn't get out sent someone else to see what the matter was. The Prophet (Blessings and Peace be upon him) said: "What will you think if I tell you that there are horsemen at this valley and behind the mountain and they want to attack you? Will you believe me then? They said: "We never saw you lie." He said: "I am a warner for you before the advent of severe torment. The semblance of me and you is like that of a man who saw the enemy advancing to attack his people. So he hurried up and climbed a high place to warn and call them out. Because he feared that the enemy should arrive before him, he shouted: "Ya Sabāhah!" Then the Prophet (Blessings and Peace be upon him) called upon them to adhere to the truth warning them against the punishment of Allāh. He said: "O community of Quraish! Purchase yourselves from Allāh. Rescue yourselves from Hell as I do possess nothing in favour of you from Allāh. I can cause neither harm nor good to you from Allāh, O sons of Ka'abah Ibn Luhayy! Do rescue yourselves from Hell. O sons of Murra Ibn Kā'ab! Save yourselves from Hell. O sons of Qusayy! Do save yourselves from Hell. As I cause neither harm nor good to you from Allāh. O sons of 'Abdu Manāf! Rescue yourselves from Hell, as I do possess nothing in favour of you from Allāh, nor do I cause you harm or good from Allāh. O sons of 'Abdu Shams! Save yourselves from Hell. O sons of Hāshim! Rescue yourselves from Hell. O sons of 'Abdul-Mutallib! Save yourselves from Hell. As I do possess nothing in favour of you from Allāh. Ask me for what you like of my money. I cause neither harm nor good to you from Allāh. O 'Abbās Ibn 'Abdul-Mutallib, I possess nothing in your favour from Allāh. Safiyyah bint 'Abdul-Mutallib, the aunt of Allāh's Messenger, I possess nothing in your favour from Allāh. O Fātimah, the daughter of Muhammad, Allāh's Messenger, ask me for what you want of my money. Save yourself from Hell. As I don't possess anything to your interest from God. But I will keep good ties with my kith and kin duly and perfectly." After the Prophet (Blessings and Peace be upon him) gave such a crucial warning, people scattered and left him. No one gave a reply. But Abu Lahab offended the Prophet (Blessings and Peace be upon him) and said: "Fie to you all that day! Did you summon us for this reason?" At this moment, the following verse was revealed:

 Surah Al-Masadd, Verse 1:

تَبَّتْ يَدَا أَبِي لَهَبٍ وَتَبَّ

Perish the two hands of Abu Lahab (an uncle of the Prophet), and perish he!

This loud call was the peak of communication. The Prophet (Blessings and Peace be upon him) made clear to his closest relatives and fellow tribesmen in it that believing in the Message of Islam is the survival of relations between them and that the consanguinity of Arabs happened to melt into the heat of this warning coming from Allāh. The voice of truth still resounded around Mecca till Allāh said in the Qur-ān:

Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 94:

فَاصْدَعْ بِمَا تُؤْمَرُ وَأَعْرِضْ عَنِ الْمُشْرِكِينَ

Therefore proclaim openly (Allah's Message Islamic Monotheism) that which you are commanded, and turn away from Al-Mushrikun (polytheists, idolaters, and disbelievers, etc. - see V. 2:105).

Thereupon, Allāh's Messenger began to proclaim the calling of Islam extensively at the places of meeting and assemblies of Quraish reciting the Glorious Qur-ān and saying:

Surah Al-Araf, Verse 59:

Indeed, We sent Nuh (Noah) to his people and he said: "O my people! Worship Allah! You have no other Ilah (God) but Him. (La ilaha ill-Allah: none has the right to be worshipped but Allah). Certainly, I fear for you the torment of a Great Day!"

He also began to perform the rites and offer prayer at the courtyard of the Ka'abah before their eyes.

The Prophet's calling gained wider acceptance and people embraced Islam one by one. But there occurred animosity and disagreement between those who embraced Islam and their family members who remained unbelievers. This made Quraish resent so bitterly what they observed and knew.

NOTHING HAPPENS WITHOUT THE PERMISSION OF ALLAH

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm Arba'a. 29th day of Shaw'waal, 1445AH (Wednesday 8th May 2024). *_NOTHING HAPPENS WITHOUT THE PERMISSION OF ALLAH_*. BismilLah.  Even though feelings of Panic, stress/worries etc are part of life, they must not reduce our acts of worship or trust in ALLAH. The more a man turns to ALLAH and focuses on HIM, the more he will feel a sense of peace and comfort, to an extent that no one knows except ALLAH. Hence those who know ALLAH, are close to HIM and fear HIM are the happiest of people, to such an extent that one of them said, in a well-known expression: “If the kings and the sons of kings knew what joy we have, they would fight us for it with the sword.” This is also what is expressed in the Qur’an, as ALLAH says: “Whoever works righteousness, whether male or female, while he (or she) is a true believer (of Islamic Monotheism) verily, to him ALLAH will give a good life (in this world with respect, contentment and lawful provision), and ALLAH will ...

HELPING OTHERS WITH INTENTION FOR ALLAH'S HELP IN RETURN

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yaum Al-Khamis, 22nd day of Jumaadal Uula 1447AH, Thursday, 13th November, 2025.  *_HELPING OTHERS WITH INTENTION FOR ALLAH'S HELP IN RETURN_*. BismilLah.  When we help our brothers and sisters in Islam, in reality, we are helping ourselves. The Messenger of ALLAH (S.A.W) said: He who relieves the hardship of a believer in this world, ALLAH Azzawajallah will relieve his hardship on the Day of Judgment. He who makes easy what is difficult, ALLAH ALLAH Azzawajallah will make it easy for him in the world and the hereafter. He who conceals the faults of a Muslim, ALLAH ALLAH Azzawajallah will conceal his faults in this ALLAH Azzawajallah world and the Hereafter, for ALLAH helps the servant as long as he helps his brother. AlhamdulilLah.  With this I hope with immediate effect we will all strive to help each other in any possible way such as making dua for each other, supporting our relatives and those in need in ou...

BEST TIME FOR TAHAJJUD

*BEST TIME FOR TAHAJJUD* It is best to delay this prayer to the last third portion of the night. Abu Hurairah reports that the Messenger of Allah said: "Our Lord descends to the lowest heaven during the last third of the night, inquiring: 'Who will call on Me so that I may respond to him? Who is asking something of Me so I may give it to him? Who is asking for My forgiveness so I may forgive him?"' This is related by the group. 'Amr ibn Abasah reports that he heard the Prophet say: "The closest that a slave comes to his Lord is during the middle of the latter portion of the night. If you can be among those who remember Allah, the Exalted One, at that time then do so." This is related by al-Hakim who grades it sahih according to Muslim's standards, and at-Tirmizhi calls it hasan sahih. AnNasa'i and Ibn Khuzaimah also recorded it. Abu Muslim asked Abu Zharr: "Which late-night prayer is the best?" He said: "I asked the Messenger of A...
