Catching Them Young!

 *Catching Them Young!*

---------------------------------

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

Abu Yazid al Busṭami was a young child when he woke and saw his father praying. He asked him to teach him how to wash and pray with him, and his father said, *“But you are still young,”* to which he (the young boy) responded, *“When the day of judgment comes, I will say I asked you to teach me but you refused.”* So, his father immediately taught him, and he began a lifelong habit of tahajjud.

Also,

Sahl ibn ʿAbd Allah al Tustari began praying tahajjud when he was three years old at the encouragement of his uncle.

Parents & Guardians!

How many of us cares to initiate our children or even our wives/husband & people under our custody into midnight investment (Tahajjud)?

Servants Of Allah!

A sister once told me of an Iman in one of the masaajid in Abuja (Nigeria), who have ALL his children initiated into Tahajjud, including the under-aged (Below 3years).. Yes.. The children once visited their maternal grandmother in the village for long vacation.. Guess what? Immediately it is 2:00AM every night, *even without phone alarm*,  all the children including the under-aged, will wake up.. Bcos they are used to Tahajjud.

*"What Mr A can do, Mr B can do it even better"*

If there is someone i know who have not missed a single night for the past *7years* without waking up for midnight nawafil *(even in sickness, this person will wake up, perform dry ablution, pray 2rakaats sitting down, then go back to bed)* , then, what could be ur reason for missing 2nights in 30days without waking up for midnight nawafil? This is because - *"What Mr A can do, Mr B can do it even better"*

But Today,

How many of us have given up Tahajjud after only a few days or months? Or weeks?

Or...

Dont you want ur name to be written everyday by *Angels* who document the names of the servants of Allah *(every night)* who abandoned their beds seeking the pleasure of Allah through midnight nawafil?

Or u don't put it in ur mind by planning to wake up for midnight nawafil everyday the ways u planned ur other worldly programs? Ohhhhh! Is it because it is not *Naira & Dollars* Angels are sharing for people who wake up to establish midnight nawafil?

Brothers & Sisters!

We do encourage us all to try and become of those who pray tahajjud, even if some of us are missing establishing farḍ prayers ontime.

Actually,

Tahajjud is the habit that influences the rest of our day and how we focus our lives. If you are waking up for tahajjud, your chances of missing fajr are reduced, and if you have prayed tahajjud and fajr, you will push yourself to pray the other daily prayers in order to preserve the beauty of that day. As you get used to praying tahajjud, the strength of spirit, courage, faith, goodness and light will begin to well up within you and then tahajjud will become your dear friend.

*Women In Menses:*

It is permissible for a woman in menstruation and post-natal bleeding to perform all acts of ibadah during tahajjud time *(with or without ablution)* and even during the day EXCEPT *swalat and touching Quran directly (ie - without barrier)* .. Yes.. She can wake up during tahajjud time *(say 12AM, 1AM, 2AM, 3AM, 4AM)* to make, Dhikr & Dua (ask Allah anything she want), and go back to catch up with her sleep.

Finally,

Moments before he passed away, Sufyan AthThawri was heard saying:

*“If you depart to the hereafter without preparing the luggage of piety..And on that Day you meet those who have..You will regret not having been like them..And that you had not prepared as they had”*

Allah alone knows best

NOTHING HAPPENS WITHOUT THE PERMISSION OF ALLAH

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm Arba'a. 29th day of Shaw'waal, 1445AH (Wednesday 8th May 2024). *_NOTHING HAPPENS WITHOUT THE PERMISSION OF ALLAH_*. BismilLah.  Even though feelings of Panic, stress/worries etc are part of life, they must not reduce our acts of worship or trust in ALLAH. The more a man turns to ALLAH and focuses on HIM, the more he will feel a sense of peace and comfort, to an extent that no one knows except ALLAH. Hence those who know ALLAH, are close to HIM and fear HIM are the happiest of people, to such an extent that one of them said, in a well-known expression: “If the kings and the sons of kings knew what joy we have, they would fight us for it with the sword.” This is also what is expressed in the Qur’an, as ALLAH says: “Whoever works righteousness, whether male or female, while he (or she) is a true believer (of Islamic Monotheism) verily, to him ALLAH will give a good life (in this world with respect, contentment and lawful provision), and ALLAH will ...

HELPING OTHERS WITH INTENTION FOR ALLAH'S HELP IN RETURN

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yaum Al-Khamis, 22nd day of Jumaadal Uula 1447AH, Thursday, 13th November, 2025.  *_HELPING OTHERS WITH INTENTION FOR ALLAH'S HELP IN RETURN_*. BismilLah.  When we help our brothers and sisters in Islam, in reality, we are helping ourselves. The Messenger of ALLAH (S.A.W) said: He who relieves the hardship of a believer in this world, ALLAH Azzawajallah will relieve his hardship on the Day of Judgment. He who makes easy what is difficult, ALLAH ALLAH Azzawajallah will make it easy for him in the world and the hereafter. He who conceals the faults of a Muslim, ALLAH ALLAH Azzawajallah will conceal his faults in this ALLAH Azzawajallah world and the Hereafter, for ALLAH helps the servant as long as he helps his brother. Source: Ṣaḥīḥ "Muslim 2699. AlhamdulilLah.  With this I hope with immediate effect we will all strive to help each other in any possible way such as making dua for each other, supporting our relatives and those in need in ou...

BEST TIME FOR TAHAJJUD

*BEST TIME FOR TAHAJJUD* It is best to delay this prayer to the last third portion of the night. Abu Hurairah reports that the Messenger of Allah said: "Our Lord descends to the lowest heaven during the last third of the night, inquiring: 'Who will call on Me so that I may respond to him? Who is asking something of Me so I may give it to him? Who is asking for My forgiveness so I may forgive him?"' This is related by the group. 'Amr ibn Abasah reports that he heard the Prophet say: "The closest that a slave comes to his Lord is during the middle of the latter portion of the night. If you can be among those who remember Allah, the Exalted One, at that time then do so." This is related by al-Hakim who grades it sahih according to Muslim's standards, and at-Tirmizhi calls it hasan sahih. AnNasa'i and Ibn Khuzaimah also recorded it. Abu Muslim asked Abu Zharr: "Which late-night prayer is the best?" He said: "I asked the Messenger of A...
