FAJR REMINDER: *THE DENIERS OF FACT*

Shawwal 29, 1443 (30-May-2022)
The disbelieving people of Makkah, during the life of the Prophet (ﷺ), denied that humans shall be resurrected (after death) for recompense. Allāh informs (in Surah Al-Waqia (56) verses 47-49) that, *“And they used to say: When we die and become dust and bones, shall we then indeed be resurrected? And also our forefathers?”* The same is mentioned (in Surah Al-Mumenoon [23] verse 82), *“They said: When we are dead and have become dust and bones, shall we be resurrected indeed?”*
The people who died thousands of years ago, whose bodies have disintegrated into particles and mixed in the dust, whose bones decayed and were scattered away by the winds, some of whom were burnt to ashes, others consumed by the beasts, still, others drowned in the seas and swallowed by fish; the disbelievers questioned on how the material constituents of their bodies shall be re-assembled and everyone raised as the same person that he or she once was years before. They found it strange and thus denied its happening.
Allāh has given a very rational and highly forceful reply to their argument in the form of this brief question (in Surah Al-Qiyammah (73) verse 3): *“Does man (a disbeliever) think that We shall not assemble his bones?”* This means, does a disbeliever think that Allāh is not capable of resurrecting him (after his death) to account for his deeds?
The end of this worldly life is certain and life after death is necessary. Praise be to Allāh, the Lord of all that exists. To be continued, Allāh willing. I beseech Allāh to grant us firmness. (Aameen)
