*2️⃣ The Devil's Deception of those from Our Ummah (Regarding Matters of Creed and Religion)*

*2️⃣  Devil's Deception of Intellectuals & Safest path*

Yã Oukhty! Yã Akhy!

Know that, just as Iblis was able to deceive simpleminded folks into practicing taqlid, he was also able to deceive those with some intelligence.

Iblis deceived some people making them believe that it is a sign of weakness to adhere to the apparent meanings of religious verses. So he directed them towards the way of philosophers to the point of taking them out of the fold of Islam.

He [Iblis] whispered to others not to believe in anything that is intangible. Did this group use tangible means to verify their opinion? If the answer is: 'Yes', they would be arrogant and not willing to accept the truth. And if it's: 'No', then they would go against their principle.

Iblis swayed others to reject imitation and to dwell into sciences of kalãm (theological rhetorics and deductive reasoning). They thought that this would remove them from the ranks of laypeople. Most of them ended up in doubt and atheism.

Al-Shafi'i (رحمه الله) said about this science: _"It would be better for a servant to commit all the sins from which Allaah has forbidden, except Shirk, than for him to dwell into kalãm.”_

And Ahmad Ibn Hanbal (رحمه الله) said: _"A person of kalãm will never succeed, scholars of kalãm are of no religion."_

Practitioners of kalãm claimed that faith could never be complete except by understating their system of arguments. They are indeed wrong, because The Messenger (ﷺ) ordered people to have faith, not to research kalãm and the Companions who were the best of people, followed The Messenger's order. In fact it was narrated that many of the alert practitioners of kalãm abandoned kalãm after realising its bad effects.

___

Finally, If imitators as well as practitioners of kalãm are in fault in matters of belief. What then is the safest path away from Iblis's deception?

The response is that the safest path is that of Allaah's Messenger (ﷺ), His Companions and their companions (رضي الله عنهم). They affirmed the existence of The Creator, affirmed His Attributes according to the Qur'an and Sunnah without looking too deep into matters that humans have no ability to understand.

We seek refuge with Allaah from contemplations and sciences that lead to awful doctrines.

GIVE CHARITY FOR YOUR OWN GOOD

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm Ath-thalaatha. 28th day of Shaw'waal, 1445AH (Tuesday 7th May 2024). *_GIVE CHARITY FOR YOUR OWN GOOD_*. Aameen.  Narrated Abu Hurairah [radhi-yAllahu 'anhu]: The Prophet (SallallahuAlaihiWasallam) said, "Charity is obligatory everyday on every joint of a human being.* If one helps a person in matters concerning his riding animal by helping him to ride on it or by lifting his luggage on to it, all these will be regarded as charity. A good word, and every step one takes to offer the compulsory congregational prayer is regarded as charity; and guiding somebody on the road is regarded as charity." [Sahih Al-Bukhari, 4/2891]. To show gratitude to ALLAH for keeping your body safe and sound, you should give in charity or do charitable deeds. Narrated Abu Hurairah [radhi-yAllahu 'anhu]: ALLAH'S Messenger (sallallahuAlaihiWasallam) said, "The strong is not the one who overcomes the people by his strength, but the strong is the one w

NOTHING HAPPENS WITHOUT THE PERMISSION OF ALLAH

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm Arba'a. 29th day of Shaw'waal, 1445AH (Wednesday 8th May 2024). *_NOTHING HAPPENS WITHOUT THE PERMISSION OF ALLAH_*. BismilLah.  Even though feelings of Panic, stress/worries etc are part of life, they must not reduce our acts of worship or trust in ALLAH. The more a man turns to ALLAH and focuses on HIM, the more he will feel a sense of peace and comfort, to an extent that no one knows except ALLAH. Hence those who know ALLAH, are close to HIM and fear HIM are the happiest of people, to such an extent that one of them said, in a well-known expression: “If the kings and the sons of kings knew what joy we have, they would fight us for it with the sword.” This is also what is expressed in the Qur’an, as ALLAH says: “Whoever works righteousness, whether male or female, while he (or she) is a true believer (of Islamic Monotheism) verily, to him ALLAH will give a good life (in this world with respect, contentment and lawful provision), and ALLAH will p
