The importance of being firm upon the deen.
Alhamdulillah, anyone whom Allah makes stronger upon the deen has been given a great thing in life.
As the hadith of the prophet pbuh as Anas r.a said
The Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) would often say: Ya Muqallibal-qulub, thabbit qalbi 'ala dinik('O Changer of the Hearts! Strengthen my heart upon Your Religion.)' So I said: 'O Prophet of Allah! We believe in you and what you have come with, but do you fear for us?' He said: 'Yes. Indeed the hearts are between two Fingers of Allah's Fingers, He changes them as He wills.'"
Tirmidhee.
Vol. 4, Book 6, Hadith 2140.
Even the prophet pbuh supplicated to Allah to remain upon the truth for us to know that the heart can change.
A person can be a believer today and evening will change to something even him not knowing.
It is narrated on the authority of Abu Huraira that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) observed:
Be prompt in doing good deeds (before you are overtaken) by turbulence which would be like a part of the dark night. During (that stormy period) a man would be a Muslim in the morning and an unbeliever in the evening or he would be a believer in the evening and an unbeliever in the morning, and would sell his faith for worldly goods.
Sahih Muslim 118
Rush to do good deeds. A Fitnah will occur that is like a portion of the dark night, morning will come upon a man as a believer, who will be a disbeliever in the evening, and evening will come upon a believer, who will be a disbeliever in the morning. One of them will sell his religion for goods of the world."
Jami` at-Tirmidhi 2195.
Today this dunya is alluring us that many of us turned back from this deen to get pleasures of life like salman rushdi and that.
May Allah make us steadfast in eeman and taqwa. Aameen
