This is a generous practice of Islam where it connects the rich with the poor, and the poor with the poorer, thus eliminating poverty and reducing the disparity gap between the rich and the poor. This form of charity ensures no poor person goes hungry during Ramadan and more importantly increases our iman towards Allah (swt).  FAJR REMINDER: IN THE LAST TEN! By: Umm Affān Ramaḍān 21, 1447 (10-March-2026) Indeed, Allāh assists us in gaining benefits (with bountiful rewards) at specific times throughout the year. We express our gratitude to Allāh as we find ourselves in the last ten days of Ramaḍān. Its nights are particularly revered because they include the exceptional night known as Laylatul Qadr. Allāh states: “The night of Al-Qadr (Decree) is better than a thousand months (equivalent to 83 years and 4 months).” [Sūrah Al-Qadr (97): 3] Subḥānallāh! This means that a righteous deed performed on this night is far superior to doing the same for a thousand months. Not equivalent, but indeed better. Allāh Akbar!  *Alternative i‘tikāf* [[--6th Outing--]] ------------------ Pay Your Zakatul-Fitr بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم Ibn ’Abbas (ra) narrated, ‘The Messenger of Allah (pbuh) enjoined Zakat ul-fitr on the one who fasts (i.e. fasted during the month of Ramadan) to purify him from any indecent act or speech and for the purpose of providing food for the needy. It is accepted as Zakah for the person who pays it before the Eid prayer and it is Sadaqah (i.e. voluntary charity) for the person who pays it after the Eid prayer.’ 📚 (Abu Dawud) Now, *When should zakatul fitr be paid?* Zakatul-Fitr is only Wajib (Compulsory) for a particular period of time.  FAJR REMINDER: THE TIME IS NEAR! By: Umm Affān Ramaḍān 20, 1447 (9-March-2026) It is time to abandon worldly activities and engage in I’tikāf, which involves secluding oneself in a Masjid where Jumu’ah prayer is observed and dedicating oneself more to the worship of Allāh during the last ten days of Ramaḍān. Ā'ishah (Raḍiyallāhu ‘Anha) reported that the Prophet (ﷺ) would perform I’tikāf at the Masjid during these last ten nights of Ramaḍān until Allāh Almighty caused him to pass away. After his passing, his wives continued this practice. [Ṣaḥīḥ al-Buḫārī 2026, Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim 1172] I’tikāf is thus a Sunnah of the Prophet (ﷺ) and is quite different from Khalwa, which is considered a heretical innovation in Islām. Like all acts of worship, I’tikāf should be performed solely for the Sake of Allāh, seeking His Closeness and not for the admiration of others. Therefore, having a good intention is crucial.  *Alternative i‘tikāf* [[--7th Outing--]] ------------------ *Pay Your Zakatul-Fitr* بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم The last of all acts of worships in the month of Ramadan is Zakat al-Fitr, or the Zakat of Breaking the Fast of Ramadan. It also carries the name of Zakat-Al-Badan (The body tax) or Zakat-Al-Ra’s (The head tax). And this Zakat is established mainly to cleanse a Muslim individual from any MINOR shortcomings or MINOR mischief conducted during the month of Ramadan *(Excluding major shirk)*. The head of household can also pay zakat al-Fitr for their dependants such as children, servants and any dependent relatives. Scholars say any type of food that is common in a particular region can be given for fitr, (e.g. rice, corn, millet, wheat, flour, ground, etc). BismilLah. Suurah Ad-Duha was revealed to comfort the Prophet Muhammad sallallahu alaiyhi wassallam during a time when revelation paused for a short period. Some disbelievers mocked him saying that his Lord had abandoned him. ALLAH Azzawajal revealed this beautiful suurah to reassure the Prophet ﷺ that HE had not abandoned him, and that better days were coming.
