BismilLah.  Let's continue with our studies of suurah Al-Mutaffifin.  Verses 1–6. Warning to Those Who Cheat. وَيْلٌ لِّلْمُطَفِّفِينَ الَّذِينَ إِذَا اكْتَالُوا عَلَى النَّاسِ يَسْتَوْفُونَ وَإِذَا كَالُوهُمْ أَو وَّزَنُوهُمْ يُخْسِرُونَ أَلَا يَظُنُّ أُولَٰئِكَ أَنَّهُم مَّبْعُوثُونَ لِيَوْمٍ عَظِيمٍ يَوْمَ يَقُومُ النَّاسُ لِرَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ 1. Woe to those who give less [than due]. 2. Those who, when they take a measure from people, take in full. 3. But when they give by measure or weight to them, they cause loss. 4. Do they not think they will be resurrected? 5. For a tremendous Day, 6. The Day when mankind will stand before the Lord of the worlds.  FAJR REMINDER: ITS DEPTH AND VASTNESS By: Umm Affān Dhū al-Qa'dah 22, 1447 (10-May-2026) If you wonder how vast and deep Hell is, then know that it is unimaginably enormous and extremely deep. One clear indication of this is that it will contain all the disbelievers and sinful people from the beginning of creation until the end of time, yet it still will not be full. Anas (Raḍiyallāhu ‘Anhu) narrated that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: “The people will be thrown into the (Hell) Fire and it will say: ‘Are there any more (to come)?’ (50.30) till Allāh puts His Foot over it and it will say, ‘Qati! Qati! (Enough Enough!)!’” [Ṣaḥiḥ al-Bukhārī 4848] From this Ḥadīth, we affirm that Allāh has a Foot in a manner that befits His Majesty. However, we do not ask how it is or compare it to the creation. Rather, we believe in it as it has come and leave the knowledge of its reality to Allāh. But its message goes beyond trade, it also warns against hypocrisy, injustice, arrogance, and neglect of the Hereafter.  The Suurah contrasts: The fate of the wicked sinners (Fujjār).  FAJR REMINDER: THE NEED TO MARRY AGAIN By: Umm Affān Dhū al-Qa'dah 21, 1447 (9-May-2026) The period in which Sawdah Bint Zam’ah Ibn Qays (Raḍiyallāhu ‘Anha) lost her husband was also the same time our mother Khadījah Bint Khuwaylid (Raḍiyallāhu ‘Anha) passed away. As a result, the Prophet (ﷺ) was left without a wife while also having children under his care. Among the noble female companions was Khawlah Bint Ḥakīm (Raḍiyallāhu ‘Anha), a righteous woman who noticed the hardship the Prophet (ﷺ) was experiencing due to the absence of a wife in his household. This reflects the kind of compassionate society the Prophet (ﷺ) nurtured—a community in which people genuinely cared for one another and paid attention to each other’s needs. When you put a smile on an orphan’s face or help a widow, Allah (swt) sends you help, mercy, and support in return. This help may not necessarily come as more money—it could come as good health, safety from trouble, sickness or calamity, or peace in your home or even longer life. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: “Allah will help a servant as long as the servant helps his fellow Muslim.” So do not allow the devil to defeat you by not giving. Yes. Give now, tomorrow and everyday until the last day before eidul-adha and receive Allah’s help in ways you cannot even imagine. Remember: Those orphans and widows are not being punished. Everything you do, every struggle, is leading you back to HIM. Be intentional with your actions. 2. Accountability is Certain. You will receive your “record.” Regularly reflect: If I were judged today, what would my record look like? 3. Seek an Easy Reckoning. The believer’s goal is not perfection, but mercy. Increase repentance (istighfār) and sincere deeds. 4. Don’t Be Deceived by Comfort. The disbeliever was “happy among his people”. Comfort can distract from truth, stay spiritually awake. 5. BismilLah.  Let's continue with our studies of suurah Al-Inshiqāq. Please refer to yesterday's reminder to understand today's reminder properly.  Verses 20–25: Reaction of Disbelievers 20. فَمَا لَهُمْ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ So what is wrong with them that they do not believe? Commentary: A rhetorical question highlighting stubborn denial. 21. وَإِذَا قُرِئَ عَلَيْهِمُ الْقُرْآنُ لَا يَسْجُدُونَ And when the Qur’an is recited, they do not prostrate. Commentary: Lack of humility and submission. 22. بَلِ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا يُكَذِّبُونَ Meaning: Rather, the disbelievers deny.  FAJR REMINDER: THE FURY OF HELL-FIRE By: Umm Affān Dhū al-Qa'dah 18, 1447 (6-May-2026) On the Day of Reckoning, the Hell-Fire will intensify in fury, raging with such Shiddat (intensity) that parts of it will seem to tear away from one another out of sheer Ghaḍab (fury) against the criminals. Allāh says: “For those who disbelieve in their Lord (Allāh) is the torment of Hell, and worst indeed is that destination. When they are cast therein, they will hear the (terrible) drawing in of its breath even as it blazes forth. It almost bursts up with fury…” [Sūrah Al-Mulk (67): 8-10]  Moreover, Hell will not be satisfied with those cast into it; rather, it will continue to demand more. The gravity of that Day will be beyond what we can fully comprehend, and the Waqi' (reality) is that the majority of people will end up therein. Allāh says: “On the Day when We will say to Hell: ‘Are you filled?’ It will say: ‘Are there any more (to come)?’” [Sūrah Qāf (50): 30] And why would Hell-Fire...
