﷽ *Surah Aal-e-Imran, Verse 165:* أَوَلَمَّا أَصَابَتْكُم مُّصِيبَةٌ قَدْ أَصَبْتُم مِّثْلَيْهَا قُلْتُمْ أَنَّىٰ هَٰذَا قُلْ هُوَ مِنْ عِندِ أَنفُسِكُمْ إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ (What is the matter with you?) When a single disaster smites you, although you smote (your enemies) with one twice as great, you say: "From where does this come to us?" Say (to them), "It is from yourselves (because of your evil deeds)." And Allah has power over all things. *COMMENTARY* If Uhud was a reverse to the Muslims, they had inflicted a reverse twice as great on the Makkans at Badr. This reverse was not without Allāh's permission, for He wanted to test and purify the faith of those who followed Islam, and to show them that they must strive and do all in their power to deserve Allāh's help. The said cousin always visited his cousin in her matrimonial house when her husband traveled until it got bursted. She even had the guts then to every time her cousin-lover visited her house, call her husband to give him her lover on phone to greet. That was how her lover kept sharing the woman with her husband. ﷽ *Surah Aal-e-Imran, Verse 159:* فَبِمَا رَحْمَةٍ مِّنَ اللَّهِ لِنتَ لَهُمْ وَلَوْ كُنتَ فَظًّا غَلِيظَ الْقَلْبِ لَانفَضُّوا مِنْ حَوْلِكَ فَاعْفُ عَنْهُمْ وَاسْتَغْفِرْ لَهُمْ وَشَاوِرْهُمْ فِي الْأَمْرِ فَإِذَا عَزَمْتَ فَتَوَكَّلْ عَلَى اللَّهِ إِنَّ اللَّهَ يُحِبُّ الْمُتَوَكِّلِينَ And by the Mercy of Allah, you dealt with them gently. And had you been severe and harsh-hearted, they would have broken away from about you; so pass over (their faults), and ask (Allah's) Forgiveness for them; and consult them in the affairs. Then when you have taken a decision, put your trust in Allah, certainly, Allah loves those who put their trust (in Him). *COMMENTARY* The extremely gentle nature of Muhammad endeared him to all, and it is reckoned as one of the mercies of Allāh. One of the Prophet's titles is "A Mercy to all Creation." At no time was this gentleness, this mercy, this long-suffering with human weaknesses, more valuable than after a disaster like that ...

A Muslim cannot achieve a pure heart until it is emptied of all envy, hatred, and malice. The person who envies is, in reality, displeased with the way ALLAH has distributed HIS blessings. ALLAH says: أَمْ يَحْسُدُونَ النَّاسَ عَلَىٰ مَا آتَاهُمُ اللَّهُ مِن فَضْلِهِ Or do they envy people for what ALLAH has given them of HIS bounty? Quran 4:54.  ﷽ *Surah Aal-e-Imran, Verse 157:* وَلَئِن قُتِلْتُمْ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ أَوْ مُتُّمْ لَمَغْفِرَةٌ مِّنَ اللَّهِ وَرَحْمَةٌ خَيْرٌ مِّمَّا يَجْمَعُونَ And if you are killed or die in the Way of Allah, forgiveness and mercy from Allah are far better than all that they amass (of worldly wealths, etc.). *COMMENTARY* Notice a beautiful little literary touch here. At first sight you would expect the second person here ("you could amass"), to match the second person in the earlier clause. Zakaat is one of the Five pillars of islam. It is an obligation from ALLAH upon every Muslim who possesses the minimum amount of wealth given certain conditions. The type of wealth upon which zakat is obligatory are Monetary assets, Livestock, Agricultural produce, Merchandise. Zakaat [obligatory charity] on monetary Assets such as Gold, Silver and currency must be paid. On gold if it reaches the Nisaab [i.e. the minimum amount liable for Zakaah], which is 20 Mithqaal [a measure which equals 85 grams of pure gold, 1 Mithqaal = 4.25 grams], this means that one should pay ½ a Mithqaal as Zakaat, i.e., 2.5% of the value of gold. Zakaat must be paid on silver if it reaches the value of 200 Dirhams, which is the equivalent of 595 grams of pure silver; one should then pay five Dirhams as Zakaah, that...
