*🌴Peace be upon you all.*
*The fish that sees its water is getting shallow cannot be stranded.*
*Recently I watched a documentary about fishes in a drying river. And the behavior of some of the fish gave me perspective into this proverb. While the wise fish took notice of the decreasing water level of the river and began to migrate, the rest of the fish were simple enjoying the serenity of the water. It turned out that the fish that saw its water was getting shallow were able to escape death while the others eventually died as a result of drought. Sad but true, some of us are like the fishes that died. We live for the moment. We have no consideration of the future, forgetting that it is where we will spend the rest of our life. Planning involves discipline and sacrifice and since many of us cannot bear that responsibility, we end up not planning at all. And like the adage goes, when you fail to plan you indirectly plan to fail. Planning does not guarantee a life of no disappointment but the truth is that many disappointments in life could have been avoided with planning. Be forethoughtful!*
