*A Message 4 You*
[[--- Part 10 ---]]------------------
بسم الله الرحمان الرجيم
Listen, my Muslim brother and sister. There is a poison or sickness spreading among us. It is not a sickness of the body, but of the heart and tongue. This poison is what we say about other people.
We see things and we guess the worst. Then, we say our bad guess out loud.
This sickness is like a fire that burns our good deeds.
Think carefully.
We see a brother and sister talking. We smile and say, "They have sinned."
A sister is sick with fever. We whisper, "She must be pregnant or have had abortion."
A sister visits her family. We tell others, "Her husband sent her away."
A sister wears a simple dress. We laugh, "She only has two clothes."
This is not just talk. This is a HUGE SIN.
Allah (swt) says in the Quran (24:4-5): "Those who accuse innocent women (or men) and cannot bring four witnesses... give them eighty lashes. Never accept their word again. They are the wicked".
Think about that. 80 lashes. This is the punishment in this life for a false tongue.
But the next life is more frightening.
Yes!
On the Day of Judgment, there will be no money to pay back debit. All your good deeds—your prayers, your fasts, your charity—are like your money in a bank.
When you backbite or slander someone, you steal their honor. On that Day, you must pay them back. Yes. You will have to give them your good deeds. One by one. If your good deeds finish, you will have to take their bad sins onto your own record.
Imagine that day. You are standing before Allah. You need every single good deed to enter Paradise.
But an angel calls your name. The sister you said was pregnant or had abortions or the sister you whispered that she had only few clothes comes. She takes some of your good deeds. The brother you lied about comes. He takes more. The people you gossiped about all come. They line up.
They take and take and takt until your account is empty. You are left with nothing. You are bankrupt. All because of a story you told.
All because of a joke you made.
All because you spoke without thinking.
Is it worth it? To lose Paradise for a few words?
Your tongue is small, but it can destroy your forever.
If you hear anything unpleasant about someone, stop it. Do not spread it. Keep it with you. If you think an evil thought, fight it. Do not speak it.
Fear Allah !swt) regarding His servants. The person you talk about is your brother or sister in faith. Their honor is sacred.
Be watchful of what you utter. Every single word is written. And on a Day when you will need every good deed, you will wish you had kept your tongue silent.
This is a serious warning. Let it frighten you into goodness. Let it make you watchful. Protect your faith and good deeds.
