THE FIGHT AGAINST MŪSĀILIMAH

FAJR REMINDER: THE FIGHT AGAINST MŪSĀILIMAH

By: Umm ‘Affān

Jumādā al-Ākhirah 28, 1447 (20-December-2025)

During the time of Abū Bakr (Raḍiyallāhu ‘Anhu) as he engaged in battle against the apostates, he strategically divided the army into eleven sections, each designated for a specific role. Khālid Ibn al-Walīd (Raḍiyallāhu ‘Anhu) was appointed as the leader of a significant division. Upon handing each commander their flag, the Khalīfah addressed Khālid, stating, “I heard the Messenger of Allāh (ﷺ) say: ‘What a good slave of Allāh and member of the tribe Khālid Ibn al-Walīd is! [He is] one of the swords of Allāh that Allāh, may He be Glorified and Exalted, has unsheathed against disbelievers and hypocrites.” [Musnad Aḥmad 43]

This led to the Battle of Al-Yamāmah, where Banu Hanīfah, along with allied Arab tribes, assembled one of the most formidable armies of apostasy, headed by Mūsāilimah the Liar. Several Muslim contingents attempted to vanquish his forces but were unsuccessful.

Ultimately, Khalīfah Abū Bakr (Raḍiyallāhu ‘Anhu) commanded Khālid (Raḍiyallāhu ‘Anhu) to advance toward the encampment of Banu Hanīfah. Upon learning that Khālid (Raḍiyallāhu ‘Anhu) was approaching, Mūsāilimah swiftly reorganized his troops into a fearsome and devastating combat force.

One night, a contingent led by Majā‘ah Ibn Marārah launched attacks into the ranks of the Muslims, but they were defeated, resulting in the death of many of Majā‘ah's companions.

Eventually, the forces of the Muslims and Mūsāilimah's army clashed fiercely at Aqrabāi, resulting in a battle of unprecedented ferocity. The Muslims found themselves under intense pressure, and Banu Hanīfah infiltrated Khālid's (Raḍiyallāhu ‘Anhu) tent. Nevertheless, the Muslims rallied and pushed them back.

Throughout the battle, Khālid (Raḍiyallāhu ‘Anhu) consistently urged his men with statements like ‘Allāh is the Greatest’ and ‘There is no god worthy of worship but Allāh.’ He maneuvered his troops in such a way that their swords became instruments of inevitable victory. He inspired them with the words: “O people, distinguish yourselves; we are well-acquainted with the affliction of the living and we are well-acquainted with where we are coming from.”

With a surge of enthusiasm akin to an electric current, Khālid (Raḍiyallāhu ‘Anhu) instilled confidence within his soldiers. This was a demonstration of his remarkable strategic ability, shaping the most crucial and intense battle of apostasy.

Remarkably, within just a few moments, the Muslim forces shifted the tide against Mūsāilimah's army. Mūsāilimah's soldiers fell by the hundreds and even thousands. Ultimately, Mūsāilimah was slain, leaving his forces scattered across the battlefield. The Muslim army, comprised of thirteen thousand men, achieved a significant victory over Mūsāilimah’s approximately forty thousand troops.

In the end, the banner of the false prophet was buried forever. Upon receiving the joyful news, the Khalīfah (Raḍiyallāhu ‘Anhu) expressed his gratitude to Allāh the Great and Most High for granting victory through this heroic figure.

I beseech Allāh to be Especially Merciful to Khālid Ibn al-Walīd. Aameen.,

NOTHING HAPPENS WITHOUT THE PERMISSION OF ALLAH

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm Arba'a. 29th day of Shaw'waal, 1445AH (Wednesday 8th May 2024). *_NOTHING HAPPENS WITHOUT THE PERMISSION OF ALLAH_*. BismilLah.  Even though feelings of Panic, stress/worries etc are part of life, they must not reduce our acts of worship or trust in ALLAH. The more a man turns to ALLAH and focuses on HIM, the more he will feel a sense of peace and comfort, to an extent that no one knows except ALLAH. Hence those who know ALLAH, are close to HIM and fear HIM are the happiest of people, to such an extent that one of them said, in a well-known expression: “If the kings and the sons of kings knew what joy we have, they would fight us for it with the sword.” This is also what is expressed in the Qur’an, as ALLAH says: “Whoever works righteousness, whether male or female, while he (or she) is a true believer (of Islamic Monotheism) verily, to him ALLAH will give a good life (in this world with respect, contentment and lawful provision), and ALLAH will ...

HELPING OTHERS WITH INTENTION FOR ALLAH'S HELP IN RETURN

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yaum Al-Khamis, 22nd day of Jumaadal Uula 1447AH, Thursday, 13th November, 2025.  *_HELPING OTHERS WITH INTENTION FOR ALLAH'S HELP IN RETURN_*. BismilLah.  When we help our brothers and sisters in Islam, in reality, we are helping ourselves. The Messenger of ALLAH (S.A.W) said: He who relieves the hardship of a believer in this world, ALLAH Azzawajallah will relieve his hardship on the Day of Judgment. He who makes easy what is difficult, ALLAH ALLAH Azzawajallah will make it easy for him in the world and the hereafter. He who conceals the faults of a Muslim, ALLAH ALLAH Azzawajallah will conceal his faults in this ALLAH Azzawajallah world and the Hereafter, for ALLAH helps the servant as long as he helps his brother. AlhamdulilLah.  With this I hope with immediate effect we will all strive to help each other in any possible way such as making dua for each other, supporting our relatives and those in need in ou...

BEST TIME FOR TAHAJJUD

*BEST TIME FOR TAHAJJUD* It is best to delay this prayer to the last third portion of the night. Abu Hurairah reports that the Messenger of Allah said: "Our Lord descends to the lowest heaven during the last third of the night, inquiring: 'Who will call on Me so that I may respond to him? Who is asking something of Me so I may give it to him? Who is asking for My forgiveness so I may forgive him?"' This is related by the group. 'Amr ibn Abasah reports that he heard the Prophet say: "The closest that a slave comes to his Lord is during the middle of the latter portion of the night. If you can be among those who remember Allah, the Exalted One, at that time then do so." This is related by al-Hakim who grades it sahih according to Muslim's standards, and at-Tirmizhi calls it hasan sahih. AnNasa'i and Ibn Khuzaimah also recorded it. Abu Muslim asked Abu Zharr: "Which late-night prayer is the best?" He said: "I asked the Messenger of A...
