*Disappearing Bed*
------------------بسم الله الرحمان الرجيم
Have you ever heard a story like this?
"A man got up in the night to pray. When he came back, his bed, pillow, and blanket were gone. They had disappeared!"
No.
You have never heard this story. It has never happened even in movies. Yes. Your bed will wait for you.
But this special night time? Once it’s gone, you can’t get it back. It’s gone forever.
Now, think about this again.
We believe, as Muslims, that one single night in the grave is longer than 100 years of life on this Earth.
If we truly believe this… Why can’t we sacrifice just 20 minutes out 8 hours of the night?
Just 20 minutes of sleep, for a prayer that is unlike any other. Yes. Because the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) said: *“The best prayer after the obligatory prayers is the night prayer.”*📚(Muslim)
My People,
The minimum of 20 minutes you will sacrifice every blessed night buys you a light in your grave, where there is no sun, no moon, no lamp. This 20 minutes creates a handsome, comforting companion that will be with you in that long, lonely darkness. His name is Tahajjud.
But we know this, and we still choose sleep over Tahajjud, night after night - knowing fully well that, if you die as a believer, you will sleep, sleep sleep and get tired in your grave😢.
My People,
What does it mean or say about you if don't praying Tahajjud consistently?
It means you are UNRELIABLE before Allah (swt). Yes. It means you know the truth. You know the reward. You know the need. Yet, you do not do it CONSISTENTLY.
Don’t be that servant.
Your bed will wait.
Your grave will wait longer.
Trade a minimum 20 minutes of sleep for an eternal light.
Build your companion for the grave every blessed night.
Be the servant Allah can call a RELIABLE servant because he/she is CONSISTENTLY doing what some people take as difficult task.
Angels carry the attendance register every night. Never miss even for one night. Do it until the end of your life.
Take it the way you can maintain for a long time without missing. At least, 2 raka'ats every blessed night and go back to catch up with your sleep. Just make it consistent. In less than 20 minutes or so, you are done.
