FAJR REMINDER: PROTECTION AGAINST DAJJĀL (I)

Jumādā al-Ākhirah 13, 1447 (5-December-2025)
Indeed, we need to seek Allāh’s Protection from Dajjāl. Our Beloved Prophet (ﷺ) provided this Ummah (the last generation) with a clear path, and only those who are doomed stray from it. He did not leave behind any good without highlighting it, nor any evil without issuing a warning. Among the significant warnings he delivered was about the Fitnah of the Dajjāl, which stands as the greatest trial that the Ummah will encounter at the End of Time.
All Prophets cautioned their nations regarding the one-eyed Dajjāl, but Prophet Muḥammad (ﷺ) warned his nation about him more than any other Prophet. In addition to these warnings, he taught us how to seek Allāh’s Protection from the Fitnah of the False Messiah (Al-Masīḥ Ad-Dajjāl).
One of the ways the Prophet (ﷺ) instructed us to seek refuge from the Dajjāl's Fitnah is particularly during Ṣalāh (prayer). This is supported by authentic Aḥadīth, such as the one narrated by Umm al‐Mu’mineen Ā’ishah (Raḍiyallāhu ‘Anha), who noted that the Messenger of Allāh (ﷺ) used to recite in his prayer:
“Allāhumma inni a’udhu bika min ‘adhāb al‐qabri, wa a’udhu bika min Fitnat il‐Masīḥ il‐Dajjāl, wa a’udhu bika min Fitnat il‐mahyaa wal‐mamāt. Allāhumma inni a’udhu bika min al‐ma’tham wa’l‐maghram (O Allāh, I seek refuge with You from the torment of the grave, I seek refuge with You from the Fitnah of the Dajjāl, and I seek refuge with You from the trials of life and death. O Allāh, I seek refuge with You from sin and debt).” [Ṣaḥiḥ al-Bukhārī 1/202, Muslim 1/412]
I beseech Allāh to safeguard us from the trials of Dajjāl. Aameen.
