Story of Khalid

 *Story of Khalid*

------------------

بسم الله الرحمان الرجيم

Every single day, we fight sleep, fight tiredness. We do it for an appointment with someone - maybe for a job, a flight or for business. We do this even with a headache, fever, and even when our body begs for rest. We do not complain. Why? Because that appointment is important to us.

Now,

Answer this:

What is more important than an appointment with the King of all Kings? The Owner of the Heavens and the Earth?

Let me tell you a true story about a man who understood this.

Five years ago, A man called Khalid travelled to a village far from the city. At night, a very big scorpion stung him. The pain was terrible. There was no hospital. No doctor. He had to find herbal medicine in another village.

That night, the pain was so strong he could not sleep. His body was on fire. But when the time for Tahajjud came, he moved. He made dry ablution. He could not stand, so he sat down. In great pain, he prayed two rakaats. He made dua. Then he went back to his bed of pain.

That man was tested again.

A few months later, he was visiting his parents. He was sleeping in the middle of the night. Just before the time for Tahajjud, two small scorpions stung him. He woke up. He killed them. He ate a little onion to fight the poison. He made wudu.

Then, he stood for Tahajjud.

What he did next is hard to believe, but it is true. By Allah, it is true.

In the first rakaat, he began to recite Surah Al-Baqarah. The long surah. Verse by verse. His body was in pain from the new poison. But he kept standing. He kept reciting. He recited all 286 verses.

A miracle happened.

Before he even finished that first rakaat… the pain vanished. Completely. The burning was gone. The poison stopped its work. Allah, the Most High, had removed it.

Think. The first time, pain did not stop him from Tahajjud. The second time, Tahajjud stopped the pain.

Allah says in the Quran: "And during the night, wake up and pray, an extra prayer for you. It may be that your Lord will raise you to a praised station." 📚(17:79)

This man was raised from a bed of pain to a station of mercy. His faith was stronger than scorpion's poison. His love for standing before Allah (swt) was greater than his love for sleep or comfort.

So I ask you, my brother, my sister…

If a man can pray Tahajjud while being stung by a scorpion… What is our excuse?

Tiredness?

A little sleep?

Cold weather?

If Allah (swt) can remove deadly poison during the recitation of His Book… What problem do you have that He cannot solve in your Tahajjud?

If the door is this open, why can we allow ourselves to miss a single night waking up for Tahajjud?

Let this story shake us. Let it break our laziness. Tonight, when everyone is asleep, get up. Make wudu. Stand in the dark. Just two rakaats. Talk to your Lord. The One who controls scorpions and heals all pain including your challenges .

Embrace Tahajjud. Angels carry the attendance register every night. Never miss even for one night. Do it until the end of your life.

You will never regret it. And you will never be the same.

NOTHING HAPPENS WITHOUT THE PERMISSION OF ALLAH

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm Arba'a. 29th day of Shaw'waal, 1445AH (Wednesday 8th May 2024). *_NOTHING HAPPENS WITHOUT THE PERMISSION OF ALLAH_*. BismilLah.  Even though feelings of Panic, stress/worries etc are part of life, they must not reduce our acts of worship or trust in ALLAH. The more a man turns to ALLAH and focuses on HIM, the more he will feel a sense of peace and comfort, to an extent that no one knows except ALLAH. Hence those who know ALLAH, are close to HIM and fear HIM are the happiest of people, to such an extent that one of them said, in a well-known expression: “If the kings and the sons of kings knew what joy we have, they would fight us for it with the sword.” This is also what is expressed in the Qur’an, as ALLAH says: “Whoever works righteousness, whether male or female, while he (or she) is a true believer (of Islamic Monotheism) verily, to him ALLAH will give a good life (in this world with respect, contentment and lawful provision), and ALLAH will ...

HELPING OTHERS WITH INTENTION FOR ALLAH'S HELP IN RETURN

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yaum Al-Khamis, 22nd day of Jumaadal Uula 1447AH, Thursday, 13th November, 2025.  *_HELPING OTHERS WITH INTENTION FOR ALLAH'S HELP IN RETURN_*. BismilLah.  When we help our brothers and sisters in Islam, in reality, we are helping ourselves. The Messenger of ALLAH (S.A.W) said: He who relieves the hardship of a believer in this world, ALLAH Azzawajallah will relieve his hardship on the Day of Judgment. He who makes easy what is difficult, ALLAH ALLAH Azzawajallah will make it easy for him in the world and the hereafter. He who conceals the faults of a Muslim, ALLAH ALLAH Azzawajallah will conceal his faults in this ALLAH Azzawajallah world and the Hereafter, for ALLAH helps the servant as long as he helps his brother. Source: Ṣaḥīḥ "Muslim 2699. AlhamdulilLah.  With this I hope with immediate effect we will all strive to help each other in any possible way such as making dua for each other, supporting our relatives and those in need in ou...

BEST TIME FOR TAHAJJUD

*BEST TIME FOR TAHAJJUD* It is best to delay this prayer to the last third portion of the night. Abu Hurairah reports that the Messenger of Allah said: "Our Lord descends to the lowest heaven during the last third of the night, inquiring: 'Who will call on Me so that I may respond to him? Who is asking something of Me so I may give it to him? Who is asking for My forgiveness so I may forgive him?"' This is related by the group. 'Amr ibn Abasah reports that he heard the Prophet say: "The closest that a slave comes to his Lord is during the middle of the latter portion of the night. If you can be among those who remember Allah, the Exalted One, at that time then do so." This is related by al-Hakim who grades it sahih according to Muslim's standards, and at-Tirmizhi calls it hasan sahih. AnNasa'i and Ibn Khuzaimah also recorded it. Abu Muslim asked Abu Zharr: "Which late-night prayer is the best?" He said: "I asked the Messenger of A...
