DARK EMOTIONS...

Episode Seven

Ali! Stop crying and answer my question please!! Or didn't I told you not to marry that money sucker girl, see your life, now you've wasted money, time, you even risk your life travelling out with her. What if you both had a plane crash? you want to turn me to a barren at my old age. Well, Alhamdulillah, nothing like that happened, but know for sure, you will bear the loss alone. "To be forewarned is to be forearmed", all I know is, you must be back to Nigeria within 24 hours!! Ummi!!! Won't I stay with her? "Stay with who? A living dead?" Or are you out of your mind? Ummi, Safiyah isn't dead yet, she's just in coma!! (Ali exclaimed). Someone should please come to my aid, are you listening to yourself? Please tell me, what is the difference? Or did you no the exact time, day, month, or probably years, that she will be awake? (Ali's mother grumbled). Ummi!! Haahaaa (the words twinge, tugging at his brain), let's fear Allah now, and please stop thinking that way. I'm very sure Safiyah won't stay long in such position, just be patient with me and that's all.(Ali replied feeling exhausted). Ali!! Enough of that, I'm peeved of listening to all your boring lectures, and you're getting on my nerves. If you don't want me to disown you, you must be back to Nigeria within 24 hours and that's final (she hanged up the call without waiting for Ali's response).

Yah Allah, why is all this happening to me? I never wish to disobey my mother, but I still need to be with Safiyah. What should I do? (Ali was still brooding over his mother's response when he heard his phone ringing again, he checked, it was Safiyah's mother). SubhanaLLAH!! How will I elucidate to her too?  Should I pick her call? No, I can't. She's hypertensive, if she heard about her daughter's condition, she might end up with a stroke. Yah Rabbi, I'm befuddled. (He later thought of picking her call, as he beseech Allah to guide his speech). Assalamu alaykum ma, wa'alaykumussalam my dear, how are you doing? Alhamdulillah, all is well ma. I'm happy to hear that, and what about Safiyah's surgery? I've called you earlier, you weren't picking my calls, I thought maybe you were busy. Yes ma! (He tried to make his voice audible, so that Safiyah's mother won't suspect anything), and about Safiyah, she's good too and the surgery was successful ma. Alhamdulillah, can I speak to her now?(Ali felt a pang of sorrow for Safiyah's mother and her noble heart). Not yet ma, she's currently asleep. Alright my dear, you can call me back when she's awake. And I'm really grateful for everything, may Allah reward you with  goodness. Aameen ma! I will definitely call you back ma. (They ended the call).

Ali moved closer to Safiyah, he placed his hands over hers, with tears in his eyes as he whispers into her ears. "My life, my hope, my everything. Baby please wake up, I just told your mom that that you're only sleeping, can you prove it to me that I'm right? Safiyah, please make it real for me. My jewel, all that I love loses half of its pleasure when you are not here to share it, passion running through my veins, trembling, waiting, reason is fading, you're responsible for all these... Safiyah I'm feeble without you, remember our life is like a flower in spring. If you leave, you will take away the essence! Please my love, come back and let's be together again.( His reverie was brought to close when he heard the adhan (call for prayer). Instantly, he recall that every dua been made after the adhan, never misses its arrow (i.e. are always been answered by Allah). so, he seized the opportunity to supplicate to Allah, then quietly he headed to the masjid and observe salatul maghrib.

On getting back to the hospital, he met Safiyah's ward empty. A thrum of panic went through him. "Has something happened to my wife?" Already the thought filled him with dread, and he felt tears prick his eyes. Ali, bewildered, turned his eyes on the nurses for explanation. He was sweating blood while he await their response, but none of them replied him. His mouth was agape with distress, as he thought of what could have happened to his wife. "Is Safiyah finally dead? No she can't, she promise to stay with me till the end, she also promise to be the mother of my babies, she--she---she---(he spluttered, tears rolling down his cheeks). He was still perturbed, when he heard a nurse calling his name. Mr Ali!! "Yes yes," please sir, your attention is needed at the doctor's office. Okay, but nurse, tell me is it what I'm thinking? And what is that sir? Tell me, is Safiyah dead? "Death you mean? Well, it's part of the nurses ethics not to discuss such with a patient's relatives, so I will implore you, to check for the doctor in his office.( she replied politely). Ali felt his heart flutter, as he impended towards the doctor's office. He was astound to see the doctor smiling, he muttered to himself, " why is he smiling?"

Mr Ali, please have your seat. No Doctor, I'm fine, please where is my wife? Mr Ali!! I've always tell you to be calm, and please composed yourself, you are a man. Okay Doctor, I'm seated, so what has happened to my wife? Where is she? It's okay Mr Ali, your wife is fine, and she's awaken!! (Ali's heart leapt at the prospect). Doctor do you mean, Safiyah has come out from coma? Yes Mr Ali, I'm so happy for you. I was also overwhelmed by her mystery recovery. (The look on the Doctor's face shows how confound he is). "Alhamdulillah!! Doctor , I'm really grateful, and I'm very sorry for all my past reactions (looking penitent). It's nothing, Mr Ali. Thank Allah your wife is back to life.(They both embrace each other, and Ali left to check his wife at the normal in-patient female ward).

Nurses were still attending to her when he got there, but he was too anxious to wait. He stylishly snob the nurses and draw near his wife, he sat beside her as she leaned over him, he smiled faintly and imprinted a kiss upon her lips." My soulmate, where should I start? What should I say? All I will like to say for now is "Jazaakiillahu khayran" for coming back to me. Thanks for giving me the the privilege to smile again.(Ali speaks as tears of joy roll down is cheek). It's alright my treasure. Ali, words are too rare for me to express my feelings, saying sorry won't suffice. Or if not for the gum, what would be called teeth? If not for the shoulders, how would the neck stand? You're my angel Ali, in fact, I'm short of words, if I should start to pray for you, I might mistakenly curse you. May Allah bless you abundantly for me. I know you've went through a lot because of me, I'm so sorry my crown. Thanks for standing up for me and supporting me.( said Safiyah, soberly and softly). It's okay my Queen, it's the way Allah want it all to be, we are all living according to the "Qadr" (will of Allah). I  pray to Allah to continue to use us as a means of goodness for ourselves. I love you so much baby.( He smiled warmly at her, hooking her hands in his own. She kisses his lips; he kisses hers; they solemnly bless each other.)

NOTHING HAPPENS WITHOUT THE PERMISSION OF ALLAH

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm Arba'a. 29th day of Shaw'waal, 1445AH (Wednesday 8th May 2024). *_NOTHING HAPPENS WITHOUT THE PERMISSION OF ALLAH_*. BismilLah.  Even though feelings of Panic, stress/worries etc are part of life, they must not reduce our acts of worship or trust in ALLAH. The more a man turns to ALLAH and focuses on HIM, the more he will feel a sense of peace and comfort, to an extent that no one knows except ALLAH. Hence those who know ALLAH, are close to HIM and fear HIM are the happiest of people, to such an extent that one of them said, in a well-known expression: “If the kings and the sons of kings knew what joy we have, they would fight us for it with the sword.” This is also what is expressed in the Qur’an, as ALLAH says: “Whoever works righteousness, whether male or female, while he (or she) is a true believer (of Islamic Monotheism) verily, to him ALLAH will give a good life (in this world with respect, contentment and lawful provision), and ALLAH will ...

HELPING OTHERS WITH INTENTION FOR ALLAH'S HELP IN RETURN

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yaum Al-Khamis, 22nd day of Jumaadal Uula 1447AH, Thursday, 13th November, 2025.  *_HELPING OTHERS WITH INTENTION FOR ALLAH'S HELP IN RETURN_*. BismilLah.  When we help our brothers and sisters in Islam, in reality, we are helping ourselves. The Messenger of ALLAH (S.A.W) said: He who relieves the hardship of a believer in this world, ALLAH Azzawajallah will relieve his hardship on the Day of Judgment. He who makes easy what is difficult, ALLAH ALLAH Azzawajallah will make it easy for him in the world and the hereafter. He who conceals the faults of a Muslim, ALLAH ALLAH Azzawajallah will conceal his faults in this ALLAH Azzawajallah world and the Hereafter, for ALLAH helps the servant as long as he helps his brother. Source: Ṣaḥīḥ "Muslim 2699. AlhamdulilLah.  With this I hope with immediate effect we will all strive to help each other in any possible way such as making dua for each other, supporting our relatives and those in need in ou...

BEST TIME FOR TAHAJJUD

*BEST TIME FOR TAHAJJUD* It is best to delay this prayer to the last third portion of the night. Abu Hurairah reports that the Messenger of Allah said: "Our Lord descends to the lowest heaven during the last third of the night, inquiring: 'Who will call on Me so that I may respond to him? Who is asking something of Me so I may give it to him? Who is asking for My forgiveness so I may forgive him?"' This is related by the group. 'Amr ibn Abasah reports that he heard the Prophet say: "The closest that a slave comes to his Lord is during the middle of the latter portion of the night. If you can be among those who remember Allah, the Exalted One, at that time then do so." This is related by al-Hakim who grades it sahih according to Muslim's standards, and at-Tirmizhi calls it hasan sahih. AnNasa'i and Ibn Khuzaimah also recorded it. Abu Muslim asked Abu Zharr: "Which late-night prayer is the best?" He said: "I asked the Messenger of A...
