DARK EMOTIONS Episode Three

DARK EMOTIONS...

Episode Three

Ali's mother was found praying for the nurses and the Doctor at the same time saying "Alhamdulillah "(Giving praise to Allah). She has the feeling of great pleasure and happiness knowing her son's health has improved. Ali, you almost killed me. How could you have left the house without your inhaler? What if there was no one around you when the crisis occurred? (Not waiting for his response). Ali, I have been into this since you were twelve years old up till now. Aren't you matured enough to take good care of yourself? At twenty nine years? Or do you actually want me to die of tension? (Ali's mother retorted).

Ummi (mother), I am very sorry and have been repeating this more than a hundred times now. I never wish to make your life miserable neither do I want you to die young for I pray you live long to reap the fruit of your labours (looking penitent). You see mom, what really happened was that, I never knew the road constructors had started renovating and they were very close to the masjid (mosque). My thought was to observe salah (prayer) and returned home as fast as possible and that was how I got to inhale the smokes coming out of their working machine.(Ali explained as he gave a rueful grin). Just be careful (His mother advised).

Still at the hospital premises, Nurses were summoned for ward round alongside with their doctor. On getting to the male ward, the doctor felt so euphoric, sighting a laugh line around Ali's mouth and eyes. "Good morning madam and you Mr Ali, hope you are feeling much better this morning?" Yes Doctor, my health seems to be at acme . So good to hear, probably you will be discharge today.( Doctor was expecting him to reply but Ali was so lost in thought.
"Is she a human? Or an angel? 'SubhanaLLAH' (How perfect Allah is). She seemed to glow with youth and vitality. She looks radiantly like the beauty of the sunset. Her features beguiling and eyes bright. Easy on eye, aesthetic, the rest of her was just as meticulously perfect. He gazed at her for the first time, then tried to lower his gaze afterwards. But such an appealing face and winsome soul should be among the covered pearls to avoid putting brothers into fittnah (temptations). Ali finally voiced out." Everyone was astonished by the words drifting out of Ali's mouth.

Ali!! What is the meaning of all this precept? (Ali was brought back to reality by his mother's overt).Ye-ss-ehm- No (Ali was tripping over his words). But what exactly is the problem with you Ali? asked his mother.

Doctor; it is okay madam, it's nothing so serious to be worried about though, as I was saying, you will be discharged today.

Oh that's good, thanks Doctor, but I will like to stay till night or maybe I will prefer leaving tomorrow.(the looks on his face shows he is up to something which is unknown to everyone). Okay, it's fine by us, your health is our concern. If you wish to be discharge tomorrow, it's all well and good. I really appreciate you doctor. "You welcome".

Immediately the doctor left with his nurses, Ali gave his mother a sign that he would like his mother to come closer which his mother did. My jewel are you sure you are fine or did you hit your head on something when you collapsed the other time? (looking scary). No Ummi, I'm fine. But it seems my utmost search for "Hoorul ayn of Jannah" (wife of Jannah) has ended today.(His mother still in confusion). Ummi, you know what? Of course I don't until you tell me. I Have found my complete missing ribs today. You mean in this clinic? (His mother asked surprisingly). Yes mother, can you please make yourself clearer for me to understand? Okay, what is the name of that fair complexion nurse? (His mother thinking of who it might be). You should know her mom, because she stands out among others and her presence was brighter than the sun. Who exactly are you talking about)? Or were you referring to nurse safiyah, because ever since I'm here, she was the only fair skinned nurse I have seen. Allahu Akbar (Allah is the greatest) Is that her name? Yes and that is if she was the one you're referring to. Exactly, that was the young beautiful maiden I have been describing to you! Meaning? Yes Ummi, exactly what you are thinking. Can you please talk to her on my behalf.
Someone should please come and help me! A grown up man like you asking me to talk to a woman on your behalf. So, you can't express your feelings to a woman? (She exclaimed).

No Ummi, its not what you think. You know islamically, it is not appropriate to approach a muslim sister just like that, they deserved to be honoured. In fact Ummi, what is expected of me to do in Islam is to trace her down to her parents' house and seek for her hand in marriage directly from them. But with my health status now, it won't be easier to do, so Ummi, please help your loving son to achieve his aim. (His mother heaved a sigh), so it is now wrong to approach a lady and tell her you love her ? No problem then, I will try my best. Although she's very nice and calm and with the way she attends to you when you were still unconscious, shows how intelligent she is. And that is why it is good to be good, had it been she had behaved rudely to me then, by now I won't be thinking of talking to her on your behalf, as a matter of fact, I would have end the chapter right now. But Alhamdulillah for her, everything about her speaks that she was well trained. So you can go for her. ( He was so happy because his mother agreed to help him out, but what her response would be was the most scary part of the tale). Yah Allah,  please make her response, the one that will lighten up my soul and make her the  coolness of my eyes.

Then he thought of doing istikharah (the way of Rasul in which he advised Muslims to do in all things in order to be on a saver side). He asked his mother where he could pray and she replied him that there is a mosque in the hospital premises. He set out to the masjid where he performed two raka'ats of non obligatory prayer and say the istikharah Du'aa. He believed it was positive as the result of the istikharah also waxed his will of getting her stronger. He also prayed that safiyah's  response favoured him.

Safiyah on her path, was also amazed to noticed  Ali has changed to a handsomest man, more than handsome, with eyes of liquid gold and cheek bones to make a poet weep. Even his beard, regally speckled with traces of gray, was neatly razored to an edged perfection. What if he is married? and if not? She could remember their eyes met while he was busy steering at her . " Could it be he likes me? Does it really happens like that? The expression "love at first sight" is it real? (Safiyah still romancing her thought about Ali when she heard a voice calling her name). Nurse safiyah, please can you give me some minutes out of your time?( Safiyah was surprised to see Ali's mother) Yes ma, but hope all is well ma? Yes my dear, all is well but to make it perfectly well, your answer has to be yes.( saffiyah angled a glance at her). Yes my dear, you see, my son just confessed to me that he loves you and would like you to be the "Queen of his abode" ( Something tightened in safiyah's chest, an unfamiliar sensation. Was it --------- happiness? She thought so). Grinning as wide as she could, she noticed Ali has been eyeing her from behind, she looked at him and his smile both joyous and relieved.

Well mother, I don't think I have anything to say for now and if he truly does, I will suggest he come to our house and direct his request to my parents. I am very sorry ma but that is the islamic way of doing it (saffiyah replied calmly) Haahaaa!!! What really happened is that he was the one that sent me to you because of all your sunnah sunnah things. This is where I get pissed off with you people. Are you saying, you both are not old enough to know what is good for you?( Musa's mother replied in a witty manner). Okay then, no problem but I will assume your response to be yes. No ma, I still need to make a supplication which is istikharah and one more thing ma, we should never think we can choose better for ourselves, than Allah can. It is He who created  us; it is He who knows what is best for us and that is why istikharah is very important when choosing a life partner.(Safiyah answered softly).

This is indeed serious. Never will one had a discussion with you true believers or what did you call yourself, without you ending it up with a lecture. Haa,, I'm peeved.( she looked tired and exhausted). Alright my daughter, at least thanks for the audience. I will deliver your response to him but please my dear make your response "Yes". He is my son and I can tell you he is of good conduct, well mannered and you both belongs to the same ideology. I wonder  maybe we that started practising the religion before you are now doing the wrong thing. All is well, take good care of yourself my lady and my regards to my in-laws to be. Bye ( said with a half smile on her face).

Safiyah, back to her thought, she remembered his nose, his lips, his beards, his eyes, most of all they stirred something in her, a connection she did not know she could make with other person. She saw herself in them, her own pain, her own joy. We are the same, she thought. Searching for something to keep us anchored, both alone in a crowded room. "It's impossible. And telling me this, giving me a kind of hope." She sighed and bit her lip. "I don't need that heartache  along with everything else. He remains my patient and I remain his nurse. Nothing more".

NOTHING HAPPENS WITHOUT THE PERMISSION OF ALLAH

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm Arba'a. 29th day of Shaw'waal, 1445AH (Wednesday 8th May 2024). *_NOTHING HAPPENS WITHOUT THE PERMISSION OF ALLAH_*. BismilLah.  Even though feelings of Panic, stress/worries etc are part of life, they must not reduce our acts of worship or trust in ALLAH. The more a man turns to ALLAH and focuses on HIM, the more he will feel a sense of peace and comfort, to an extent that no one knows except ALLAH. Hence those who know ALLAH, are close to HIM and fear HIM are the happiest of people, to such an extent that one of them said, in a well-known expression: “If the kings and the sons of kings knew what joy we have, they would fight us for it with the sword.” This is also what is expressed in the Qur’an, as ALLAH says: “Whoever works righteousness, whether male or female, while he (or she) is a true believer (of Islamic Monotheism) verily, to him ALLAH will give a good life (in this world with respect, contentment and lawful provision), and ALLAH will ...

HELPING OTHERS WITH INTENTION FOR ALLAH'S HELP IN RETURN

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yaum Al-Khamis, 22nd day of Jumaadal Uula 1447AH, Thursday, 13th November, 2025.  *_HELPING OTHERS WITH INTENTION FOR ALLAH'S HELP IN RETURN_*. BismilLah.  When we help our brothers and sisters in Islam, in reality, we are helping ourselves. The Messenger of ALLAH (S.A.W) said: He who relieves the hardship of a believer in this world, ALLAH Azzawajallah will relieve his hardship on the Day of Judgment. He who makes easy what is difficult, ALLAH ALLAH Azzawajallah will make it easy for him in the world and the hereafter. He who conceals the faults of a Muslim, ALLAH ALLAH Azzawajallah will conceal his faults in this ALLAH Azzawajallah world and the Hereafter, for ALLAH helps the servant as long as he helps his brother. Source: Ṣaḥīḥ "Muslim 2699. AlhamdulilLah.  With this I hope with immediate effect we will all strive to help each other in any possible way such as making dua for each other, supporting our relatives and those in need in ou...

BEST TIME FOR TAHAJJUD

*BEST TIME FOR TAHAJJUD* It is best to delay this prayer to the last third portion of the night. Abu Hurairah reports that the Messenger of Allah said: "Our Lord descends to the lowest heaven during the last third of the night, inquiring: 'Who will call on Me so that I may respond to him? Who is asking something of Me so I may give it to him? Who is asking for My forgiveness so I may forgive him?"' This is related by the group. 'Amr ibn Abasah reports that he heard the Prophet say: "The closest that a slave comes to his Lord is during the middle of the latter portion of the night. If you can be among those who remember Allah, the Exalted One, at that time then do so." This is related by al-Hakim who grades it sahih according to Muslim's standards, and at-Tirmizhi calls it hasan sahih. AnNasa'i and Ibn Khuzaimah also recorded it. Abu Muslim asked Abu Zharr: "Which late-night prayer is the best?" He said: "I asked the Messenger of A...
