*AR-RAHĪQ AL-MAKHTOUM (The Pure Nectar). A Treaties On Prophet Muhammad's Biography.*

*Part 59*

*PRESENTING ISLAM TO TRIBES AND INDIVIDUALS*

In Dhul Qaadah of the tenth year of Prophethood (in late June or early July, 619 A.D) the Prophet (Blessings and Peace be upon him) returned to Mecca to continue presenting Islam to tribes and individuals. Because the season of Hajj approached, people were coming to Mecca in multitudes. So the Prophet (Blessings and Peace be upon him) seized the opportunity and began to invite the tribes of Arabs one by one to Islam as he was inviting them since the forth year of Prophethood. But this year the Prophet (Blessings and Peace be upon him) demanded their protection and support so as to convey the message of Allāh.

THE TRIBES TO WHICH THE PROPHET (Blessings and Peace be upon him) PRESENTED ISLAM

Az-Zuhary said: "Among the tribes that the Prophet (Blessings and Peace be upon him) invited to Islam and were mentioned to us by name were Banu 'Amir Ibn Sa'sa'a, Muhārab Ibn Khasafah, Fuzāra, Ghassān, Murrah, Hanīfah, Salim, 'Abs, Banu Nasr, Banul-Bakkā, Kinda, Kalb, al-Hārith Ibn Ka'ab, 'Uzra and Al-Hadārimah. But none of these tribes complied with the Prophet (Blessings and Peace be upon him) or consented to his demand." It is worth mentioning that the Prophet (Blessings and Peace be upon him) presented Islam to these tribes from the fourth year of mission to the last season of hajj that preceded Hijra (his immigration from Mecca to Madinah). We can not specify a year when the Prophet (Blessings and Peace be upon him) invited a particular tribe to Islam. But the tenth year of Prophethood witnessed a concentrated stage of disseminating Islam.

Ibn Is'hāq mentioned the way in which the Prophet (Blessings and Peace be upon him) presented Islam to these tribes and their responses. This can be summarised as follows:

1. THE TRIBE OF KALB: The Prophet (Blessings and Peace be upon him) went to a sept of them called Banu 'Abdullāh and invited them to Islam. He said: "O Banu 'Abdullāh! Allāh made the name of your father favourable." But they rejected his call.

2. THE TRIBE OF HANĪFAH: The Prophet (Blessings and Peace be upon him) preached to them and asked them to accept Islam. But they responded to him in a harsh and impolite way.

3. THE TRIBE OF 'AMIR IBN SA'SA'A: The Prophet (Blessings and Peace be upon him) went to them and preached and invited them to Islam. Baihara Ibn Fāris (a man of this tribe) said: "I swear that if I backed this man of Quraish, I will subjugate all Arabs through him." Then he said to the Prophet (Blessings and Peace be upon him): "If we swear allegiance to you and Allāh makes you triumph over your adversaries, will your mission pass on to us afterwards?" The Prophet (Blessings and Peace be upon him) replied: "It's up to Allāh. He puts it where He wills." Baihara said: "How come we endanger our lives to Arabs for your sake and when you score victory, authority will belong to other than us? We are not in need of you." They also rejected his demand.

NOTHING HAPPENS WITHOUT THE PERMISSION OF ALLAH

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm Arba'a. 29th day of Shaw'waal, 1445AH (Wednesday 8th May 2024). *_NOTHING HAPPENS WITHOUT THE PERMISSION OF ALLAH_*. BismilLah.  Even though feelings of Panic, stress/worries etc are part of life, they must not reduce our acts of worship or trust in ALLAH. The more a man turns to ALLAH and focuses on HIM, the more he will feel a sense of peace and comfort, to an extent that no one knows except ALLAH. Hence those who know ALLAH, are close to HIM and fear HIM are the happiest of people, to such an extent that one of them said, in a well-known expression: “If the kings and the sons of kings knew what joy we have, they would fight us for it with the sword.” This is also what is expressed in the Qur’an, as ALLAH says: “Whoever works righteousness, whether male or female, while he (or she) is a true believer (of Islamic Monotheism) verily, to him ALLAH will give a good life (in this world with respect, contentment and lawful provision), and ALLAH will ...

HELPING OTHERS WITH INTENTION FOR ALLAH'S HELP IN RETURN

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yaum Al-Khamis, 22nd day of Jumaadal Uula 1447AH, Thursday, 13th November, 2025.  *_HELPING OTHERS WITH INTENTION FOR ALLAH'S HELP IN RETURN_*. BismilLah.  When we help our brothers and sisters in Islam, in reality, we are helping ourselves. The Messenger of ALLAH (S.A.W) said: He who relieves the hardship of a believer in this world, ALLAH Azzawajallah will relieve his hardship on the Day of Judgment. He who makes easy what is difficult, ALLAH ALLAH Azzawajallah will make it easy for him in the world and the hereafter. He who conceals the faults of a Muslim, ALLAH ALLAH Azzawajallah will conceal his faults in this ALLAH Azzawajallah world and the Hereafter, for ALLAH helps the servant as long as he helps his brother. Source: Ṣaḥīḥ "Muslim 2699. AlhamdulilLah.  With this I hope with immediate effect we will all strive to help each other in any possible way such as making dua for each other, supporting our relatives and those in need in ou...

THE MUSLIM WOMAN AND HER OWN SELF

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yawm athalaatha, 3rd day of Rabeeul Awwal 1447AH, Tuesday, 26th August 2025. *_THE MUSLIM WOMAN AND HER OWN SELF_*. BismilLah.  Islam encourages Muslims in general to stand out among people, readily distinguishable by their dress, appearance and behaviour, so that they will be a good example, worthy of the great message that they bring to humanity. According to the hadith narrated by the great Sahabi Ibn al-Hanzaliyyah, the Prophet (sallallahu alaihi wasallam ) told his Companions, when they were travelling to meet some brothers in faith: "You are going to visit your brothers, so repair your saddles and make sure that you are dressed well, so that you will stand out among people like an adornment, for ALLAH (SWT) does not love ugliness." Reported by Imam Abu Dawud, 4/83, in Kitab al-libas, bab ma ja'a fi isbal al-izar. The Prophet (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) considered an unkempt and careless appearance, and scruffy clothes and furnishings, to be...
