*Why ask people for Dua when you are sick: i have a good news for you*
Rasoulillah PBUH says in a hadith in Bukhari, in the day of judgment Allah Ta'alah shall ask some of us, so so and so Was sick and you didn't visit and i was with him through out. Then servant will reply with an excuse.
Then Rasoulillah says when you prepare to visit a sick person, Allah sends down 70k Angels to accompany you until you come back. And during the visit they keep supplicating and seeking for forgiveness for you until you return.
My objective of citing those two events is this. If Allah Ta'alah is with you while you are sick, it means you are more closer to him than any other person whom you might ask to pray for you. Which means, your own prayer has even more chances of being accepted.
So whenever you fall sick remember Allah pays you a visit and he stays with you all along and he keeps deleting your sins until you recover. So use that opportunity to make dua.
May Almighty Allah accept our duas and make our sickness a source of forgiving our sins. Amin.
