(A TREASURE CHEST OF REMINDERS)

Episode 30

*YOUR HOUSE IS A KINGDOM OF GLORY AND LOVE*

"... Verily, your Lord is of vast forgiveness..." [Qur'an 53:32].

My dear sister! Stay in your home except for serious and necessary matters, for your home is the secret of your happiness.

Surah Al-Ahzab, Verse 33:

وَقَرْنَ فِي بُيُوتِكُنَّ وَلَا تَبَرَّجْنَ تَبَرُّجَ الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ الْأُولَىٰ وَأَقِمْنَ الصَّلَاةَ وَآتِينَ الزَّكَاةَ وَأَطِعْنَ اللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُ إِنَّمَا يُرِيدُ اللَّهُ لِيُذْهِبَ عَنكُمُ الرِّجْسَ أَهْلَ الْبَيْتِ وَيُطَهِّرَكُمْ تَطْهِيرًا

And stay in your houses, and do not display yourselves like that of the times of ignorance, and perform As-Salat (IqamatasSalat), and give Zakat and obey Allāh and His Messenger. Allāh wishes only to remove ArRijs (evil deeds and sins, etc.) from you, O members of the family (of the Prophet [Blessings and Peace be upon him]), and to purify you with a thorough purification.

In your home, you will find a sense of happiness and you will protect your honour, dignity and modesty, for the insignificant woman is the one who goes to the market frequently for no reason, and whose main concern is to watch trends and follow fashion, going into stores and asking about every new thing. She has no concern for religion or da'awa (invitation) and no ambition to pursue knowledge and become educated. Rather, she is extravagant and her main concern is food and dress. So, beware of forsaking your home, because it is the place of happiness, safety and tranquility, the sanctuary that gives a sense of protection. Make your home a focus of love, generosity and goodness.
