The purpose of learning is to become conscious of ALLAH and purify the heart. 


Ibn Abdul Barr may Allah be pleased with him reported: Sufyan Ath-Thawri, may ALLAH have mercy on him, said, “Verily, knowledge is only studied to become mindful of ALLAH. Verily, knowledge is only favored over other virtues because one is made conscious of ALLAH by it.”Jāmiʻ Bayān al-ʻIlm 759


Imam Al-Ghazali may ALLAH be pleased with him said, “Seeking knowledge is an act of worship of the soul. In the language of the law, it is an act of worship of the heart. It will not be sound unless the heart it purified from evil behaviors and foul characteristics. Mīzān al-ʻAmal 1/342. Any act of worship or way of life not meant to please ALLAH through the Quran and Sunnah way is a waste of time and may even be sinful may ALLAH forbid. 

*_May ALLAH keep guiding us all and purify our hearts from any satanic influences_*. Aameen.
