Broth made from Camel Meat does not nullify Wudhu' | Ash-Shaykh Ibn Baz

*Broth made from Camel Meat does not nullify Wudhu' | Ash-Shaykh Ibn Baz*

Question: What is the wisdom in camel meat nullifying Wudhu' and does broth made from camel meat nullify Wudhu' also?

Answer: It has been authentically reported from the Prophet salallaahu 'alaihi wasallam that he ordered Wudhu' to be made after eating camel meat, and he did not explain to us the wisdom behind it.

We know that Allah the Most Glorified is Most Wise and All Knowing, and that he does not prescribe anything for His servants, except what is good and beneficial for them in this life and in the Hereafter.

And it is an obligation upon the Muslim to accept the commands of Allah, the Most Glorified, and His messengersalallaahu 'alaihi wasallam, and to act upon them, even if he does not know the exact wisdom behind them, as it is obligatory for him to abstain from those things which Allah and His messenger salallaahu 'alaihi wasallam have forbidden for us, even if he does not know the precise wisdom behind them, because he is a creature who is commanded to obey Allah and His messenger salallaahu 'alaihi wasallam, created for that purpose.

Therefore, he must comply and submit, with faith that Allah is Most Wise and All Knowing, and when the wisdom is known, then that is an additional form of good.

As for the broth made from camel meat – and likewise the milk- they do not invalidate Wudhu; only the meat does so, according to the words of the Prophet salallaahu 'alaihi wasallam: "Perform ablution after eating camel meat and do not perform ablution after eating goat." [At-Tirmithi no.81 and Abu Dawud nos.184]

And a man asked him, saying: ‘O Messenger of Allah! Should we make ablution after eating camel meat?’ He said: "Yes". The man asked: ‘Should we make ablution after eating goat?’ He salallaahu 'alaihi wasallam replied: "If you wish." [Muslim no.360]

And these are both authentic hadiths reported from the Prophet salallaahu 'alaihi wasallam.

NOTHING HAPPENS WITHOUT THE PERMISSION OF ALLAH

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm Arba'a. 29th day of Shaw'waal, 1445AH (Wednesday 8th May 2024). *_NOTHING HAPPENS WITHOUT THE PERMISSION OF ALLAH_*. BismilLah.  Even though feelings of Panic, stress/worries etc are part of life, they must not reduce our acts of worship or trust in ALLAH. The more a man turns to ALLAH and focuses on HIM, the more he will feel a sense of peace and comfort, to an extent that no one knows except ALLAH. Hence those who know ALLAH, are close to HIM and fear HIM are the happiest of people, to such an extent that one of them said, in a well-known expression: “If the kings and the sons of kings knew what joy we have, they would fight us for it with the sword.” This is also what is expressed in the Qur’an, as ALLAH says: “Whoever works righteousness, whether male or female, while he (or she) is a true believer (of Islamic Monotheism) verily, to him ALLAH will give a good life (in this world with respect, contentment and lawful provision), and ALLAH will ...

One of the question asked is can a Christian enter Jannah today?

One of the question asked is can a Christian enter Jannah today? Alhamdulillah, it is clear from Quran and hadiths that any christian who dies believing Jesus is God or son of God and do not believe in prophet Muhammad Peace be Upon Him will enter hellfire. Allah says, Al-Ma'idah 5:17 They have certainly disbelieved who say that Allāh is Christ, the son of Mary. Say, "Then who could prevent Allāh at all if He had intended to destroy Christ, the son of Mary, or his mother or everyone on the earth?" And to Allāh belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth and whatever is between them. He creates what He wills, and Allāh is over all things competent.

PURIFICATION OF THE HEART

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yawm al-khamis, 20th day of Swafar 1447AH, Thursday, 14th August 2025. *_PURIFICATION OF THE HEART_*. BismilLah.  A sister asked me yesterday how we can purify ourselves to achieve the immense benefits mentioned in our reminder yesterday.  The command to purify our hearts from sins was an essential Islamic teaching ever since the early stages of the revelation in Mecca. This is known as “purification of the soul” (tazkiyyat an-nafs).   ALLAH Azzawajal says: He has succeeded who purifies the soul, and he has failed who corrupts the soul. Surah Ash-Shams 91:9-10. Also, ALLAH Azzawajal says: A day when there will be no benefit in wealth or children, but only in he who comes to ALLAH Azzawajal with a pure heart. Surah Ash-Shu’ara 26:88-89.  We learn from these verses that our success in the Hereafter depends upon the purification of our hearts in this life. We must purify our hearts from spiritual sins such as greed, malice, envy, arrog...
