The destruction of firawn.
Today is an historic day for the Jews in Medina not today.
The Jews of today are misguided and have knowledge but do not practice what they know.
Allah s.w.t compared them with donkey.
Allah says,
Al-Jumu'ah 62:5
The example of those who were entrusted with the Torah and then did not take it on is like that of a donkey who carries volumes [of books]. Wretched is the example of the people who deny the signs of Allah. And Allah does not guide the wrongdoing people.
Allah gave them knowledge and wisdom but they use such gift to misled people from path of Allah.
They were at first the beloved people of Allah s.w.t but when they did not keep their trust, Allah s.w.t cursed them till qiyaamah making them compared to pigs and monkeys.
Allah says,
Al-Ma'idah 5:60
Say, "Shall I inform you of [what is] worse than that as penalty from Allah? [It is that of] those whom Allah has cursed and with whom He became angry and made of them apes and pigs and slaves of Taghut. Those are worse in position and further astray from the sound way."
Today the exposing of bodies, surgery, false hairs where all introduced by Jews.
Allah s.w.t destroyed firawn in their eyes yet the rebelled and worshipped the calf.
Allah says,
An-Nisa' 4:153
The People of the Scripture ask you to bring down to them a book from the heaven. But they had asked of Moses [even] greater than that and said, "Show us Allah outright," so the thunderbolt struck them for their wrongdoing. Then they took the calf [for worship] after clear evidences had come to them, and We pardoned that. And We gave Moses a clear authority.
The reason we fast is not because of the Jews but Musa a.s was a brother of rasulullah s.a.w as all prophets were brothers from different mothers.
