Who is Ali ibn Abu talib, hasan and Hussein r.a and fathima bint Muhammad(salla allahu alayhi wa salam).

 Who is Ali ibn Abu talib, hasan and Hussein r.a and fathima bint Muhammad(salla allahu alayhi wa salam).

ALHAMDULILLAH, these are the ahlul bayt of rasulullah s.a.w who are the closest and through them we have descendant of rasulullah s.a.w called the hashimites or shareefa or sayyada.

There are the noble families of rasulullah s.a.w and when these ayah was revealed was referring to them.

Allah says,

Aal-e-Imran 3:61

Then whoever argues with you about it after [this] knowledge has come to you – say, "Come, let us call our sons and your sons, our women and your women, ourselves and yourselves, then supplicate earnestly [together] and invoke the curse of Allah upon the liars [among us]."

This ayah was revealed when the Christian of najran came for mubahala which is a curse and rasulullah s.a.w brought Ali, fathima and his grandsons to stand for him.

Also hasan and Hussein are the youth of paradise.

As narrated in the hadith,

It was narrated that Ibn 'Umar said:

The Messenger of Allah said: 'Hasan and Husain will be the leaders of the youth of Paradise, and their father is better than them."

Sunan ibn majah.

Vol. 1, Book 1, Hadith 118.

Once the Prophet (ﷺ) went out during the day. Neither did he talk to me nor I to him till he reached the market of Bani Qainuqa and then he sat in the compound of Fatima's house and asked about the small boy (his grandson Al-Hasan) but Fatima kept the boy in for a while. I thought she was either changing his clothes or giving the boy a bath. After a while the boy came out running and the Prophet (ﷺ) embraced and kissed him and then said, 'O Allah! Love him, and love whoever loves him.'

Sahih al-Bukhari 2122.

Loving the ahlul bayt is a worship and part of eeman. But to reject the hadith and mourning because of the death of Hussein is bid'ah.

Those who killed them with his father, their affairs is with Allah.
