The dua to make against the evil eye.
ALHAMDULILLAH, the evil eye is real as there are many hadith that talks of the evil eye.
As Quran says,
Yusuf 12:67
And he said, "O my sons, do not enter from one gate but enter from different gates; and I cannot avail you against [the decree of] Allah at all. The decision is only for Allah; upon Him I have relied, and upon Him let those who would rely [indeed] rely."
Scholars say the reason why Yakub a s told his sons not to enter into one gate is for the fear of evil eye.
They were handsome men and so entering into a city like this where every one is in it, there might be someone who might afflict them with evil eye.
The Prophet (ﷺ) used to seek Refuge with Allah for Al-Hasan and Al-Husain and say: "Your forefather (i.e. Abraham) used to seek Refuge with Allah for Ishmael and Isaac by reciting the following: 'O Allah! I seek Refuge with Your Perfect Words from every devil and from poisonous pests and from every evil, harmful, envious eye.' "
Sahih al-Bukhari 3371
Narrated `Aisha:
The Prophet (ﷺ) ordered me or somebody else to do Ruqya (if there was danger) from an evil eye.
Sahih al-Bukhari 5738.
We need to make dua and seek refuge from it as evil eye can kill a person.
Ibn 'Abbas reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying:
The influence of an evil eye is a fact; if anything would precede the destiny it would be the influence of an evil eye, and when you are asked to take bath (as a cure) from the influence of an evil eye, you should take bath.
Sahih Muslim 2188.
May Allah protects us from the evil eye. Aameen
