Ali’s (RA) bravery in Uhud

 Ali’s (RA) bravery in Uhud

During the Battle of Uhud, Muslims had neglected Muhammad's ﷺ order changed the victory to defeat. Muslims were simply caught between two groups of the enemy, and many were killed. Muhammad ﷺ was surrounded by the enemy, who spread rumors that he ﷺ had died, to this many of the Sahābah lost their balance of mind and caused them such confusion.

To this Ali (RA) says;

“ We were surrounded by the enemy, and I could not see Muhammad ﷺ. I first searched for him among the living and then among the dead, but I could not find him. I said to myself, ‘It is impossible for him to fly from the battlefield. It seems that Allāh is angry with us due to our sins, and He has lifted him ﷺ up to the heavens. There is no way left for me except to jump into the enemy lines and fight till I am killed.

I therefore attacked the enemy, clearing them with  my sword till I caught sight of Muhammad ﷺ; I was very happy and was sure that Allāh had been protecting him through His angels. I approached him and stood by his side. Meanwhile an enemy advanced to attack Muhammad . He said to me, Ali go and check them. I fought and repulsed them single-handed., killing quite a few of the,. After this, yet another group came to attack him. He again called out. Ali go and check them.’

I fought with that group again single-handed and put them to their heels.’”

It was on this occasion that Jibrail (AS) came and praised Ali(RA) for his valour and his devotion to Muhammad ﷺ.

Muhammad ﷺ said;

انه منى و انا منه

“ Ali belongs to me and I belong to him.”

At this, Jibrail (AS) remarked;

وانا منكما

“ I belong to you both ”

This was the faith and valor of Ali(RA) even in the eyes of losing faith that Muhammad ﷺ might have left them, his iman spoke through his actions, and when he(RA) saw Muhammad ﷺ his iman boosted and made him jump into the enemy lines, smitten them and killed single-handedly those who have tried to come near Muhammad ﷺ .

He was a true protector of Muhammad ﷺ. a true warrior of Islam.

It was through his extreme love and devotion to Muhammad ﷺ that covered all the doubts that can come near his heart and mind.

How many of us can be of such iman, when some of us when our leaders had given up we lose all the willingness to go forth and forward?

NOTHING HAPPENS WITHOUT THE PERMISSION OF ALLAH

 DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm Arba'a. 29th day of Shaw'waal, 1445AH (Wednesday 8th May 2024). *_NOTHING HAPPENS WITHOUT THE PERMISSION OF ALLAH_*. BismilLah.  Even though feelings of Panic, stress/worries etc are part of life, they must not reduce our acts of worship or trust in ALLAH. The more a man turns to ALLAH and focuses on HIM, the more he will feel a sense of peace and comfort, to an extent that no one knows except ALLAH. Hence those who know ALLAH, are close to HIM and fear HIM are the happiest of people, to such an extent that one of them said, in a well-known expression: “If the kings and the sons of kings knew what joy we have, they would fight us for it with the sword.” This is also what is expressed in the Qur’an, as ALLAH says: “Whoever works righteousness, whether male or female, while he (or she) is a true believer (of Islamic Monotheism) verily, to him ALLAH will give a good life (in this world with respect, contentment and lawful provision), and ALLAH will ...
