The prohibition of talking while imam delivers khutbah

Alhamdulillah,

The messenger of Allah salla Allahu alayhi wasalam forbade one to talk while imam delivers the khutbah.

As reported in the hadith,

Anyone who talks while the imam delivers khutbah is like a talking carrying books and the one who says keep silent has no reward for the prayer.

Sahih.

So we need to keep silent and listen to the khutbah as it is part of the prayers.
