بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

Sa
d ibn Abi Waqqas (r.a.) honesty, faith and the depth of his sincerity made any Du'a he made accepted. Also , Sa'd always sought to support his piety by halal food; with great insistence he always refused to take doubtful money.

It was in this way that he became famous among his companions for his prayer, which was like a sharp sword. He knew that about himself; therefore, he never cursed a person.

An example of that is what
Aamir ibn Sa
d once narrated: Sa
d Ibn Abi Waqqas (r.a) once saw a man insulting
Ali, Talhah and Az-Zubair. Sa'd forbade him, but he didn’t stop. Sa
d then said, “Then I will invoke Allah against you.” The man said, “You’re threatening me as if you were a Prophet.”

Sa
d went away, performed his ablution and prayed two rak
ahs. Then he lifted his hands up and said, *“O Allah, if You know that that man has insulted people who have already been granted by You that which is the best and his cursing of them has annoyed You, then make an example out of him.”*.. Only a short while had passed, when a stray camel went out of a house. Nothing could stay it till it entered a crowd as if searching for something. Then it attacked the man, and he fell between its legs. It continued to kick the man down till he died.

*Lessons from the above:*

Your "Faith & Good Deeds" brings you closer to Allah, and in turn make your Du'a, a sharp sword like that of Sa'd (r.a).

The reality is,

Allah (s.w.t.) is closer to us than our jugular vein. Yes. Our relationship with Allah (swt) does not end nor will it weaken simply because we are not in the mosque. Everywhere you stand on His earth, you are His servant and slave. He watches over your heart. So continue to do good.

As Muslims,

We should strive to please Allah SWT and gain His blessings with as many good deeds as we can so that we may benefit in this life with success, ease, good health, and other blessings, but also and most importantly earn the ultimate reward: Jannah, Paradise.

Servants of Allah!

You might have noticed that the Quran and the Ahadith are full of ideas when it comes to what kind of good deeds we could try to accomplish to meet these lofty goals. As a matter a fact, the more you will learn about the Quran and Sunnah, the more examples you will find, especially small deeds like greeting your Muslim brother/sister, doing dhikr, or removing a potentially harmful object from a path, frequent giving of Sadaqah etc.. This is because Allah SWT wants ease and success for us.

Forget not that,

What we eat or drink have a significant effect on our Du'a to Allah (swt). Yes. This is proven in the Hadith no 10 in al-Nawawi, where the Prophet (pbuh) mentioned [the case of] a man whose Du'a is supposed to be accepted because he was on a far journey, is dishevelled and dusty and who spreads out his hands to the sky [saying] : "O Lord! O Lord!" - while his food is unlawful, his drink unlawful, his clothing unlawful, and he is nourished unlawfully, so how can he be answered !"

NOTHING HAPPENS WITHOUT THE PERMISSION OF ALLAH

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm Arba'a. 29th day of Shaw'waal, 1445AH (Wednesday 8th May 2024). *_NOTHING HAPPENS WITHOUT THE PERMISSION OF ALLAH_*. BismilLah.  Even though feelings of Panic, stress/worries etc are part of life, they must not reduce our acts of worship or trust in ALLAH. The more a man turns to ALLAH and focuses on HIM, the more he will feel a sense of peace and comfort, to an extent that no one knows except ALLAH. Hence those who know ALLAH, are close to HIM and fear HIM are the happiest of people, to such an extent that one of them said, in a well-known expression: “If the kings and the sons of kings knew what joy we have, they would fight us for it with the sword.” This is also what is expressed in the Qur’an, as ALLAH says: “Whoever works righteousness, whether male or female, while he (or she) is a true believer (of Islamic Monotheism) verily, to him ALLAH will give a good life (in this world with respect, contentment and lawful provision), and ALLAH will ...

HELPING OTHERS WITH INTENTION FOR ALLAH'S HELP IN RETURN

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yaum Al-Khamis, 22nd day of Jumaadal Uula 1447AH, Thursday, 13th November, 2025.  *_HELPING OTHERS WITH INTENTION FOR ALLAH'S HELP IN RETURN_*. BismilLah.  When we help our brothers and sisters in Islam, in reality, we are helping ourselves. The Messenger of ALLAH (S.A.W) said: He who relieves the hardship of a believer in this world, ALLAH Azzawajallah will relieve his hardship on the Day of Judgment. He who makes easy what is difficult, ALLAH ALLAH Azzawajallah will make it easy for him in the world and the hereafter. He who conceals the faults of a Muslim, ALLAH ALLAH Azzawajallah will conceal his faults in this ALLAH Azzawajallah world and the Hereafter, for ALLAH helps the servant as long as he helps his brother. Source: Ṣaḥīḥ "Muslim 2699. AlhamdulilLah.  With this I hope with immediate effect we will all strive to help each other in any possible way such as making dua for each other, supporting our relatives and those in need in ou...

THE MUSLIM WOMAN AND HER OWN SELF

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yawm athalaatha, 3rd day of Rabeeul Awwal 1447AH, Tuesday, 26th August 2025. *_THE MUSLIM WOMAN AND HER OWN SELF_*. BismilLah.  Islam encourages Muslims in general to stand out among people, readily distinguishable by their dress, appearance and behaviour, so that they will be a good example, worthy of the great message that they bring to humanity. According to the hadith narrated by the great Sahabi Ibn al-Hanzaliyyah, the Prophet (sallallahu alaihi wasallam ) told his Companions, when they were travelling to meet some brothers in faith: "You are going to visit your brothers, so repair your saddles and make sure that you are dressed well, so that you will stand out among people like an adornment, for ALLAH (SWT) does not love ugliness." Reported by Imam Abu Dawud, 4/83, in Kitab al-libas, bab ma ja'a fi isbal al-izar. The Prophet (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) considered an unkempt and careless appearance, and scruffy clothes and furnishings, to be...
