ENDURING GRIEF AND HARDSHIP IN LIFE AS MUSLIMS

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yawm al-ithnayn, 23rd day of Jumaadal Uulaa, 1446AH (Monday, 25th November 2024).

*_ENDURING GRIEF AND HARDSHIP IN LIFE AS MUSLIMS_*. BismilLaah.

In Qur'an chapter 3, verses 155-157, Allah subhanallahu ta’ala reminds us:

"Verily, ALLAH will test you with something of fear and hunger; some loss in goods or lives or the fruits (of your toil) but give glad tidings to those who patiently persevere Who says when afflicted with calamity:

"Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhir raji-oon"

"To ALLAH we belong and to HIM is our return." They are those on whom (descend) blessings from ALLAH and Mercy, and they are the ones that receive guidance."

From these verses, we can see that in a Muslim’s life, death, hardship, and suffering should never come as a complete surprise. In fact, ALLAH promises us some sort of difficulties as a certainty, somewhere during our lifetime. It is a test of our eeman, our faith in ALLAH, and we should not despair, because there are lessons to be learnt from every situation, especially from death of a relative like I've just witnessed with my father dying. To a true believer, good fortune and misfortune are merely two sides of the same coin of life. Although we do not welcome hardship, we know that even in the noonday of life, we live in the shadow of death; in the peak of our prosperity, we are just a few short paces away from poverty and in the prime of our good health, illness lurks in the shadows nearby. Let's always remember these verses and commit to saying Alhamdulillah alaa kulli haal.

*_We ask ALLAH to increase us in knowledge, wisdom, and patience to be able to handle HIS tests and trials on us_*. Aameen.

NOTHING HAPPENS WITHOUT THE PERMISSION OF ALLAH

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm Arba'a. 29th day of Shaw'waal, 1445AH (Wednesday 8th May 2024). *_NOTHING HAPPENS WITHOUT THE PERMISSION OF ALLAH_*. BismilLah.  Even though feelings of Panic, stress/worries etc are part of life, they must not reduce our acts of worship or trust in ALLAH. The more a man turns to ALLAH and focuses on HIM, the more he will feel a sense of peace and comfort, to an extent that no one knows except ALLAH. Hence those who know ALLAH, are close to HIM and fear HIM are the happiest of people, to such an extent that one of them said, in a well-known expression: “If the kings and the sons of kings knew what joy we have, they would fight us for it with the sword.” This is also what is expressed in the Qur’an, as ALLAH says: “Whoever works righteousness, whether male or female, while he (or she) is a true believer (of Islamic Monotheism) verily, to him ALLAH will give a good life (in this world with respect, contentment and lawful provision), and ALLAH will ...

The questions of the grave?

As reported in hadith of the trials of the grave like that of the dajjal Two angels that will appear to. Person, Munkar and Nakir As reported in hadith, It was narrated form Al Bara bin Azib that the Prophet said: Allah will keep firm those who believe, with the world that stands firm in this world, and in the Hereafter. This was revelated concerning the torment in the grave. It will be said to him (the deceased: 'Who is your Lord?' and he will say: 'My Lord isAllah and my Prophet is Muhammad. That is what is (the meaning of) His saying: Allah will keep firm those who believe, with the word that stands firm in this world, and in the Hereafter". Sunan an-Nasa'i 2057. Abd Allah (b. Mas’ud) told that when the evening came, the prophet (May peace be upon him) would say: we have come to the evening, and in the evening the dominion belongs to Allah: “Praise b...
