The questions of the grave?

 The questions of the grave?

Alhamdulillah, every Muslim should have belief that there is questions in the grave.

As reported in hadith of the trials of the grave like that of the dajjal

Two angels that will appear to. Person, Munkar and Nakir

As reported in hadith,

It was narrated form Al Bara bin Azib that the Prophet said:

Allah will keep firm those who believe, with the world that stands firm in this world, and in the Hereafter. This was revelated concerning the torment in the grave. It will be said to him (the deceased: 'Who is your Lord?' and he will say: 'My Lord isAllah and my Prophet is Muhammad. That is what is (the meaning of) His saying: Allah will keep firm those who believe, with the word that stands firm in this world, and in the Hereafter".

Sunan an-Nasa'i 2057.

Abd Allah (b. Mas’ud) told that when the evening came, the prophet (May peace be upon him) would say:

we have come to the evening, and in the evening the dominion belongs to Allah: “Praise be to Allah; there is no god but Allah alone who has no partner”. The version of Jarir adds: Zubaid said that Ibrahim b. Suwaid said: There is no god but Allah alone who has no partner; to him belongs the dominion, to him praise is due, and He is omnipotent. O Allah! I ask thee for the good of what this night contains, and the good of what comes after it; and I seek refuge in Thee from the evil of what this night contains, and from the evil of what comes after it. My Lord! I seek refuge in Thee from indolence, the evil of old age or of disbelief. My Lord! I seek refuge in Thee from a punishment in Hell and a punishment in the grave. In themorning he said that also: we have come to the morning, and in the morning the dominion belongs to Allah. Abu Dawud said: Shu’bah transmitted from Salamah b. Kuhail, from Ibrahim b. Suwaid, saying: from the evil of old age. He did not mention the evil of disbelief.

Sunan Abi Dawud 5071.

So the prophet pbuh used to seek refuge from the punishment of the grave.

NOTHING HAPPENS WITHOUT THE PERMISSION OF ALLAH

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm Arba'a. 29th day of Shaw'waal, 1445AH (Wednesday 8th May 2024). *_NOTHING HAPPENS WITHOUT THE PERMISSION OF ALLAH_*. BismilLah.  Even though feelings of Panic, stress/worries etc are part of life, they must not reduce our acts of worship or trust in ALLAH. The more a man turns to ALLAH and focuses on HIM, the more he will feel a sense of peace and comfort, to an extent that no one knows except ALLAH. Hence those who know ALLAH, are close to HIM and fear HIM are the happiest of people, to such an extent that one of them said, in a well-known expression: “If the kings and the sons of kings knew what joy we have, they would fight us for it with the sword.” This is also what is expressed in the Qur’an, as ALLAH says: “Whoever works righteousness, whether male or female, while he (or she) is a true believer (of Islamic Monotheism) verily, to him ALLAH will give a good life (in this world with respect, contentment and lawful provision), and ALLAH will ...

BELIEF IN PRE-DECREE (al-Qadar) CREATES PEACE IN OUR HEART continues

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yawm Arba'a, 26th day of Swafar 1447AH, Wednesday, 20th August 2025. *_BELIEF IN PRE-DECREE (al-Qadar) CREATES PEACE IN OUR HEART continues_*. BismilLah.  For the past few days, we have been reminding ourselves that calamities in our lives can also be blessings in disguise. Let's continue with some of the wisdom behind calamities:  10. Another reason behind calamities and hardship is that a person becomes able to distinguish between true friends and friends who only have their own interests at heart. You may be so close to a colleague but wait for a calamity to you to see his or her real nature.  11. Calamities remind us of our sins so that we can repent from them.  ALLAH Azzawajal says:  “Whatever of good reaches you, is from ALLAH, but whatever of evil befalls you, is from yourself” [al-Nisa’ 4:79]. “And whatever misfortune befalls you, it is because of what your hands have earned. And He pardons much” [al-Shoora 42:30]. Calamitie...

PURIFICATION OF THE HEART

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yawm al-khamis, 20th day of Swafar 1447AH, Thursday, 14th August 2025. *_PURIFICATION OF THE HEART_*. BismilLah.  A sister asked me yesterday how we can purify ourselves to achieve the immense benefits mentioned in our reminder yesterday.  The command to purify our hearts from sins was an essential Islamic teaching ever since the early stages of the revelation in Mecca. This is known as “purification of the soul” (tazkiyyat an-nafs).   ALLAH Azzawajal says: He has succeeded who purifies the soul, and he has failed who corrupts the soul. Surah Ash-Shams 91:9-10. Also, ALLAH Azzawajal says: A day when there will be no benefit in wealth or children, but only in he who comes to ALLAH Azzawajal with a pure heart. Surah Ash-Shu’ara 26:88-89.  We learn from these verses that our success in the Hereafter depends upon the purification of our hearts in this life. We must purify our hearts from spiritual sins such as greed, malice, envy, arrog...
