*UMM 'AMĀRAH SPEAKS*
"...And Allāh is Ever All-Sufficient as a Disposer of affairs." (Qur'an 4:81)
Nusaybah bint Ka'b (Umm 'Amārah) (may Allāh be pleased with her) narrated the story of the Uhud. She said:
"I went out at the beginning of the day to see what the people were doing. I had a water-skin with me in which there was water. I came to the Messenger of ALLĀH (Blessings and Peace be upon), who was with a number of his companions, and the Muslims were winning. When the battle turned against the Muslims, I came closer to the Messenger of Allāh and started to fight, striking blows with a sword and shooting arrows, until I was wounded. When the people scattered and left the Messenger of Allāh, Ibn Qumay'ah came and said, Show me where Muhammad is, ; may I not live if I let him live!' I confronted him, along with Mus'ab Ibn 'Umayr, and he dealt me this blow on my shoulder. I struck him many times but the enemy of Allāh had two layers of armour."
This is Umm 'Amārah, of whom the Messenger of Allāh (Blessings and Peace be upon him) said: "I did not turn to my right or my left on the day of Uhud but I saw her fighting to defend me."
"Beware of noise, for it causes exhaustion: and Beware of insults, for they imply a torment."
*{To be continued In-sha-Allāh (If Allāh Wills)...}*
*"And keep reminding, because reminding benefits the believers."* (Qur'an 51:55)
