*The Happiest Woman in the World*
*(A Treasure Chest of Reminders)*
*Part 7 of 11*
*KINDNESS TO OTHERS WASHES AWAY GRIEF*
"Nine-tenths of a good attitude consist of overlooking mistakes."
There are many hadīths of the Messenger of Allāh (Blessings and Peace be upon him) in the context of generosity of women, either encouraging women to give charity, praising them for their generosity, speaking highly of their cheerful selflessness towards guests, friends and loved ones. The mother of the believers 'Ā'ishah (may Allāh be pleased with her) narrated that, "They slaughtered a sheep. The Messenger of Allāh asked, 'What is left of it?' She said: 'There is nothing left but the shoulder.' The Prophet said: 'Everything is left but the shoulder.'"
The prophet (Blessings and Peace be upon him) was explaining to his household that the reward for what they had given away would remain on the Day of Resurrection, and that whatever was left and eaten by them in this world would not bring a reward that would benefit them in the Hereafter. This is a wise hint that encourages us to give charity, seeking thereby the pleasure of Allāh, the All-Glorious.
Asmā', the sister of 'Ā'ishah, was advised by the Prophet (Blessings and Peace be upon him) to give charity so that Allāh would give her more of His bounty. She said: "The Messenger of Allāh (Blessings and Peace be upon him) said to me. 'Do not withhold charity lest Allāh would not withhold (provision) from you.'"
"As long as night has an end, pain will cease, crises will pass and hardship will disappear."
*{To be continued In-sha-Allāh (If Allāh Wills)...}*
*"And keep reminding, because reminding benefits the believers."* (Qur'an 51:55)
