O Allah, I seek protection in Your pleasure from Your anger, and in Your forgiveness from Your punishment. I seek Your protection from any evil. I cannot fully praise You. You are the way You have praised Yourself. O Allah, we seek Your protection from erring; from misleading others; from doing injustice to others or receiving injustices from them; from treating others with ignorance or being treated with ignorance; from misleading others or being misled by them. I seek protection in the Light of Your Countenance--- which has illuminated the heavens and lighted the darkness and which sets aright all affairs of this world and the Hereafter--- from that You should allow Your anger and bring down Your displeasure on me. Your good will is to be constantly sought until You are pleased . There is no power or strength except through You. O Allah, I seek protection the way You protect a little baby. O Allah, I seek Your protection from the two blind forces: flood and attacking (mad) camels.
*Thought For The Day*
There are many blessings and virtues of saying “Bismillah-ir-Rahman-ir-Rahim”
The following provides some of them from QUR'ĀN and HADITH.
Bismillah – The First Verse of the Glorious Qur-ān *(Mus'haf)*
“Bismillah-ir-Rahman-ir-Rahim” is the first verse of the first chapter *(Surah Al-Fatihah)* of the Quran. The fact that the word of Allah, the Quran, starts with this first verse, alone signifies the importance of this verse and further emphasizes the need to start all our tasks in the name of Âllah. *(Read Surah Ar-Rahman here)*
*Amongst the many benefits that Sheikh Modudi states in his Quranic tafseer of this verse, here are some of them:*
*(Saying bismillah)* allows one to restrain oneself from any misdeeds, since the habit of pronouncing the name of Âllah is bound to make one wonder when about to commit some offence and how such an act can be reconciled with the saying of *ﷲ͜عَزَّوَجَــــل’s* holy name.
When a person begins something by pronouncing Allah’s name *(with sincerity in his heart),* he will enjoy Allah’s support and succor; *ﷲ͜عَزَّوَجَــــل* will bless his efforts and protect him from the machinations and temptation of Shaytān.
*For whenever man turns to Allah , Allah turns to him as well.*
