*Be Amongst The Grateful*
-------------------------------------
بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم
There are many people now suffering from INABILITY to swallow saliva (something we take to be ordinary). In hospitals, there are millions of people all over the world now who are surviving on ARTIFICIAL OXYGEN bcos of difficulty in breathing.. There are millions of people all over the word who can not DEFECATE (pass out feaces) on their own except they are operated in the hospital... etc etc etc.
Fellow muslim faithfuls reading this article now, which of the ABOVE health problems are you suffering from? None right? Then, why are you not been GRATEFUL enough to your creator?
Servants Of Allah!
All the things i listed ABOVE are things we didn't even count as favor. Yes. Imagine urself not able to swallow saliva for just one hour.
Honestly speaking,
We can never count Allah's Blessings in our lives, that is why is mandatory on us to be ever grateful to Allah for everything that we possess including our wealth, health, status, intellectual abilities and life.
And,
Showing gratitude to Allah (swt) should go beyond saying - *"Alhamdulillah"* - verbally.. Yes.. Our ACTIONS should express our gratitude to Allah (swt) MORETHAN we do verbally, and one of the ways we can give thanks to Allah (swt) is to keep to praying midnight nawafil everyday atleast 2 rakaats which will not last us morethan 10-15minutes.
Evidence:
A’ishah, the Prophet’s wife (RA) reported: "When the Prophet (saw) prayed (the optional night prayers: Qiyam-ul-layl), he would stand until (the skin of) his feet swelled. So, I said:👉“O Prophet of Allah, do you do as such while Allah has forgiven you all mistakes?” He responded: *“Should not I be a grateful servant of Allah?”*📚 (Muslim)
Servants Of Allah!
Naturally, at times we may wonder who the real beneficiary of the gratitude we show to Allah (swt) is... 👉 In Surah Ibrahim, Allah (swt) answers, *“If you are thankful I will add more (favors) unto you but if you show ingratitude then my punishment is terrible indeed”* (📚Q14 verse 7)... Now, this verse proves that our shukr is only beneficial to us alone, and our ingratitude is harmful to us alone.
Furthermore,
👉 Prophet Muhammad (saw) said: *“The best prayer after the obligatory prayers is the night prayer.”*📚(Muslim)
I therefore use this medium to remind myself & you that,
If u have not yet set ur phone alarm in a repeating mode, to wake u up for midnight nawafil *(Tahajjud)* everyday till the end of ur life, pls do so immediately.. Yes.. It's not difficult bcos people are doing it everyday without missing.. It's all about priority!
I also advice that u start with 2 rakaats every night and be consistent on it. Yes. *(it can't take u more than 15minutes)*. And If u like, u can increase on this, any day u wake up and u feel extra strength.
*Menstruation Is Not A Punishment:*
The Prophet (saw) said about menstruation, *“Verily this is a matter Allah has written upon the girls of Prophet Adam (as)…” 📚[Bukhari]
It is permissible for a woman in menstruation and post-natal bleeding to perform all acts of ibadah during tahajjud time and even during the day EXCEPT *swalat and touching Quran directly (ie - without barrier)* .. Yes.. She can wake up during tahajjud time to make Istigfar or any sunnatic Dhikr and make Dua (ask Allah anything she want).. If she like, she can perform ablution😳, yes and if she like she can just make Dhikr, swalatun-nabiyi, Dua, Istigfar etc and go back to catch up with her sleep, and still grab the goodies shared to people who wake up to establish Tahajjud
Finally,
Abdullah ibn Amr (RA) reported that the Prophet (saw) said to him: *“O Abdullah, do not be like so and so! He used to pray at night and then he stopped doing that”*📚Al-Bukhari and Muslim
Allah alone knows best.
