*Head of the Family* [[-------- 1️⃣5️⃣ ---------]] -------------------------------- بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم Islam allows polygamy and permits men, under specific circumstances, to have at most four wives at any given time.. But,,, Islam does not have the intention of siding with men and encouraging them to overindulge in sexual desires and debauchery or to overlook the rights of women and *oppress* them.. Rather,, Islam’s aim is to uphold a range of women’s natural rights—the right to marriage, forming a family, and having and rearing legitimate children. Now, Continuation of the previous episodes - as promised: *Fairness As Regards Giving Gifts:* Whoever has two or more wives has to treat them fairly. It is not permissible for him to single out one of his wives with regard to spending to the exclusion of the others. And there is a stern warning issued to the one who has two wives and does not treat them fairly. *Evidence:* Hadeeth narrated from Abu Hurayrah (RA) that the Prophet (PBUH

Therefore, any man who wishes to take a second wife has to meet the important condition of fair treatment of all his wives with regards to social, economical and physical needs. Yes. A man with morethan one wife can not be fair or equate the love or how he feels for his wives (50-50) even if he strive hard to do so. But men with more than one wife should not incline completely toward one and leave another hanging (ie - she is neither divorced nor enjoy her marriage). Evidences on this and more were ALREADY discussed in episode 2 & 3 of this article - In shaa Allah Now, Continuation of the previous episodes - as promised: *Can wife relinquish or forfeit some of her right with her husband and give it to

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN QUR'AN AND KITAAB? WE KNOW ALLAH USES BOTH IN HIS MASSAGE FOR MANKIND AND JINN KIND. HOW DO THEY RELATE?

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawmul Ahad. 24th day of Dhul-Hijjah, 1445AH (Sunday, 30th June 2024). *_WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN QUR'AN AND KITAAB? WE KNOW ALLAH USES BOTH IN HIS MASSAGE FOR MANKIND AND JINN KIND. HOW DO THEY RELATE?_*. BismilLah.  This is a bit long but very beneficial knowledge so don't miss reading it.  Understanding the Words Kitaab and Qur'an which are two popular names ALLAH (As-Sabur, The Patient, The Timeless) uses for HIS BOOK.  Kitaab comes from the Arabic word Kataba which means to write and at the time of the Prophet sallallahu alaiyhi wassallam or olden days they write on stones, woods, leafs etc, so they couldn't edit or change what they've written on these olden materials so ALLAH (Ar-Rashid,  ALLAH, The Guide, Infallible Teacher and Knower, using the word Kitaab has a profound reality or uniqueness of the QURAN which means Quran is something written down and no room for editing. We can't edit or change anything in the Qur'an

THE POWER OF DUA AS WEAPON FOR BELIEVERS

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm As-Sabt. 23rd day of Dhul-Hijjah, 1445AH (Saturday, 29th June 2024). *_THE POWER OF DUA AS WEAPON FOR BELIEVERS_*. BismilLah.  It’s amazing to see how great Dua really is. In a Hadith narrated by Abu Hurayrah, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, “In the court of ALLAH, there is no greater thing than Dua” (Ibn Majah). There are many benefits of making Dua including: 1. The loss of arrogance - For someone that makes constant Dua, arrogance is something that is not among their characteristics because when one beseeches ALLAH, he is affirming his own powerlessness. 2. The doors of mercy are opened, Abdullah bin Umar narrated that the Prophet said, “For whoever the door of Dua opened, for him the doors of mercy are opened.” (Tirmidhi). There are lots of dua to study and use regular such as; "Laailaaha illaa Anta, Astaqhfiruka Wa atuubu ilaik" Meaning There is none worthy of worship except You ALLAH, I seek your forgiveness and I repen

DOES A WIFE WHO IS EMPLOYED HAVE TO PAY/SHARE THE HOUSEHOLD EXPENSES?_l

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawmul Jumuat. 22nd day of Dhul-Hijjah, 1445AH (Friday, 28th June 2024). *_DOES A WIFE WHO IS EMPLOYED HAVE TO PAY/SHARE THE HOUSEHOLD EXPENSES?_*. BismilLah.  This is a sensitive question to our modern marriages especially those of us living abroad. I will try to cover this topic base on Qur'an, Sunnah and Consensus of Muslim scholars without been bias towards the husband or wife in shaa ALLAH but please bear with me on the length.  Husband and wife should come to some agreement concerning this issue  and avoid any dispute concerning it. With regard to how that should be done, this depends on a number of things: 1. If the husband stipulated in the marriage contract that expenses are to be shared otherwise he will not let the wife work, then the Muslims are bound by their conditions, as the Prophet (peace and blessings of ALLAH be upon him) said: “The Muslims are bound by their conditions, except for conditions which forbid something that is permitted or p

Graveyard Message

*Graveyard Message* -------------------------------- بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم It doesn't mean that someone who frequently remembers or talk about death is ready to or will die soon. Also, it doesn't mean that someone who completely forgets about or talk about death will not die soon. What matters most is living in this world 🌎 as a someone who have not completely lost focus on the journey he or she has embark on. This reminds me, A brother visited one of the graveyards and narrated a story of what he saw on the sign-board of that graveyard while entering the graveyard and while going out of the graveyard. Honestly speaking, the messages on that graveyard sign-board should touch every Muslim who have an ATOM of fear of Allah (swt). Yes. Guess what anybody entering and or going out of that particular graveyard will read on the graveyard sign-board: *"We were once like you"* *"You will soon be like us"* 😢😢 Anyone who have ever visited a graveyard for any reas

Beautiful Nonsense

*Beautiful Nonsense* -------------------------------- بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم Beautiful Nonsense - is something which looks good, something which taste sweet, something which is heart-desiring but having outcomes which is injurious and destructive. Undoubtedly, Backbitting, Gossipping & Tele-carrying others, is one the ways and manners majority of muslims today unknowingly push the rewards of their good deeds into dust-bin. What a Beautiful Nonsense? 👉🏼 Read through the qoutations below: (1) "The faith of a man cannot be straight unless his heart becomes straight and his heart cannot be straight unless his tongue becomes straight". 📚(Ahmad) (2) "Wise is the one who continually assesses himself and performs good deeds for the life after death. Foolish is the one who follows his desires and entertains very high hopes from Allah". 📚 (Timidhi). (3) “The World is three days: As for yesterday, it has vanished, along with all that was in it. As for tomorrow, you ma

VISITING THE PILGRIM TO CONGRATULATE THEM AFTER RETURNING FROM HAJJ Continues

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm Al-Khamis. 21st day of Dhul-Hijjah, 1445AH (Thursday, 27th June 2024). *_VISITING THE PILGRIM TO CONGRATULATE THEM AFTER RETURNING FROM HAJJ Continues_*. BismilLah.  Organising a get together within the family or community to welcome and celebrate a successful return from Hajj is not a religious innovations.  These actions do not necessarily imply showing off.  There is nothing wrong with those who come to congratulate the pilgrim on his safe return using whatever expressions they want, so long as they are permissible according to sharee’ah and indicate what is meant, such as saying “May ALLAH accept your worship” or “May ALLAH accept your Hajj”. *_May ALLAH accept the Hajj of all the hujjaaj and aid us to be among those who participate next year_*. And, We all know that, people ressurrected with physical challenges can not enter paradise. Now, Continuation of the previous episodes - as promised: *Fairness Amongst Co-wives As Regards Sexual Intercourse:* Equality and fairness is not necessary with regards to sexual intercourse and love, for the former is based on agility and energy (nashat), whilst the latter (love) is the action of the heart. 👉 Al-Nawawi said: "Our companions said: If he treats them equally (in the matters where that is required), he does not have to treat them equally with regard to intercourse, rather he should

PARTIES AND VISITING THE PILGRIM TO CONGRATULATE THEM AFTER RETURNING FROM HAJJ

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm Arba'a. 20th day of Dhul-Hijjah, 1445AH (Wednesday, 26th June 2024). *_PARTIES AND VISITING THE PILGRIM TO CONGRATULATE THEM AFTER RETURNING FROM HAJJ_*. BismilLah.  As Muslims it's important to avoid anything that can create divisions and unnecessary arguments that can easily create hatred among the communities and even among relatives.  Let's note that to visit, congratulate and even organise welcome moderate welcome party for the pilgrim is permissible in Islam. Some do that as a custom and tradition and there is nothing wrong with that.  Custom and Tradition which are not an act of worship, cannot be disallowed on the grounds that the Prophet (peace and blessings of ALLAH be upon him) and his companions did not do it, because it is well known that the basic principle with regard to customs and traditions is that they are permissible, and the one who forbids them has to bring evidence.  There is nothing wrong with  honouring the pilgrims on

THE DAY OF JUDGEMENT IS A FACT NOT THEORY.

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm Ath-thalaatha. 19th day of Dhul-Hijjah, 1445AH (Tuesday, 25th June 2024). *_THE DAY OF JUDGEMENT IS A FACT NOT THEORY_*. BismilLah.  Disbelievers may choose to believe it or not, death is a fact which they witness on daily basis and the day of judgement is also a fact. The Quran states that this worldly life is a preparation for the eternal life after death. But those who deny it become slaves of their passions and desires, making fun of virtuous and God-conscious persons. Such persons realize their folly only at the time of their death and wish to be given a further chance in the world but in vain. Their miserable state at the time of death, and the horror of the Day of Judgment, and the eternal bliss guaranteed to the sincere believers are very clearly and beautifully mentioned in the following verses of the Quran: ALLAH says; [For such is the state of the disbelievers], until, when death comes to one of them, he says, “My Lord, send me back that I migh

ATTAINING JANNAT IS NOT CHEAP SO LETS STRIVE FOR IT

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm al-ithnayn. 18th day of Dhul-Hijjah, 1445AH (Monday, 24th June 2024). *_ATTAINING JANNAT IS NOT CHEAP SO LETS STRIVE FOR IT_*. *BismilLah* Paradise is expensive merchandise, and al-Firdaws al-Aa‘laa is the highest and best part of Paradise. No one reaches it except those whom ALLAH has singled out for more of HIS grace due to their efforts on earth to please HIM.  The people of al-Firdaws al-A‘alaa are the ones who hasten to do good as they are commanded. SEEKING GUIDANCE OF ALLAH MUST BE OUR PRIORITY

BismilLah.  We often forget that ALLAH alone can help us overcome the many problems we encounter in our daily lives. The secret is to keep ALLAH in mind, constantly, so that when any difficulty arises, we can address it confident in the knowledge that ALLAH is aware of our situation. We should never face any problem on our own; ALLAH is with us and HE inspires and authorises the solution. I remember reading a story about a young man who was keen to be a spiritual leader. But his Shaykh said to him, “Before you can hope to be a leader, you must answer this correctly. Imagine you are walking through the fields, when suddenly you are attacked by several sheepdogs at once. What will you do?” The man replied, “I will grab a stick or some stones to throw at them, and defend myself. His teacher smiled and said, “That’s not the answer. You may hol

PRAISING OURSELVES IS HARAAM AND DANGEROUS ATTRIBUTE

BismilLah.  Remembering the Greatness of ALLAH, The Almighty, and that Pride is one of HIS Attributes as such you dare compare yourself to OUR CREATOR. In a Hadeeth on the authority of Abu Hurayrah the Prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam reported that ALLAH The Almighty said that Pride, Glory and Greatness are among HIS Attributes which none of HIS CREATION shares with HIM. Thus, he who claims to possess such qualities, ALLAH will punish him and doom him to Hell. [In Saheeh Muslim]. Remembering man's origin and weakness. ALLAH Says (what means): HE created man from a sperm-drop; then at once he is a clear adversary [Quran 16:4]. Meaning you are nothing worth praising yourself regardless of what you've done.  Islam is a complete way of life and I'm sure all reading this knows that we are to say IN SHAA ALLAH (By the will

Now, Islam requires the man who has more than one wife to treat his wives equally and fairly. And what is meant by that is fairness with regard to spending the night, accommodation, spending and clothing, travelling issues etc..... *But how?* Fairness In Accommodation: What is meant by fairness in accommodation is that each of them should have her own accommodation where he comes to her, and their accommodation should not vary with the intention of favouring one over the other. THE SWEETNESS of FAITH is TO LOVE ALLAH, HIS Messenger, and the people

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. YawmulJumuat. 15th day of Dhul-Hijjah, 1445AH (Friday, 21st June 2024). *_THE SWEETNESS of FAITH is TO LOVE ALLAH, HIS Messenger, and the people_*. If you commit fornication (zina), steal, disrespect parents, work with alcoholic companies, treating our wives/husbands badly etc then we must fear that our eemaan or faith is weak and may even die without eemaan wa-eeyaazulLah. *_May ALLAH keep guiding us all_*. BismilLah.  As human beings, we have this dangerous disease of acting to please others instead of ALLAH. Imagine someone offering Salaat, as soon as he/she noticed someone watching, he or she tries to perfect it than how he was offering it, that's minor shirk if not major bcs it means you are trying to please the person looking at you than ALLAH looking at you live all the time.  This is the disease of ar-riyaa (show-off). It’s very difficult. Nobody can say, “I’m safe from ar-riyaa. The Prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam warned us about ar-riyaa, but what is the meaning of ar-riyaa? Ar-Riyaa is so dangerous that the Prophet was so concerned about it. He said, “Indeed the thing I fear for you the most is the minor shirk (associating partners with ALLAH).” We have minor shirk and major shirk. Major shirk is something like worship

HOW GOOD IS OUR EEMAAN?

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm Arba'a. 13th day of Dhul-Hijjah, 1445AH (Wednesday, 19th June 2024). *_HOW GOOD IS OUR EEMAAN?_* BismilLah.  Once a man asked the Prophet (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam), “What is Eeman (faith)?” He (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) replied: “When your good deeds make you happy and your bad deeds make you sad, you have Eeman.” [by Imam Ahmad]. If you sin freely without feeling back but rather enjoy sinning then note that you are a Muslim by name (audhubillah, ALLAH forbid). Firstly, what is good and what is bad? Suppose you immigrate to a country. Aren’t you bound to follow the rules in place there? Those were rules decided by human beings like you, but you are required to submit to them. You don’t have the right to live by rules you design for yourself that conflict with the system. For instance, if you decide to drive on the wrong side of the road, because you think that’s how it should be, it would be a disaster and you may be jailed right?  When we are

HELPING EACH OTHER SINCERELY AS MUSLIMS

He is Al-Hayyu La Yamoot Abadah! BismilLah.  AlhamdulilLah for guiding us through these blessed days of Dhul Hijjah. May ALLAH accept it from us all. For those who managed to sacrifice we say Alhamdulillah and if you intended but couldn't sacrifice may ALLAH accept your intentions. May ALLAH accept the  eid and sacrifice of those offering it today and even tomorrow. The 10th to 13th of Dhul Hijjah are for Sacrifice and part of the eid so do not fast in any of them.  Our beloved Messenger of ALLAH peace and blessings be upon him, said that a person who intended to do a good deed, and didn’t do it, ALLAH (SWT) will write one good deed in their record, and if we actually do it, then ALLAH (SWT) will add 10 good deeds. That too is not the limit. The number may reach 700 times rewards and beyond subject to ALLAH’s will base on our intentions and sincerity. And if

EID MUBARAK TO YOU ALL.

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawmul Ahad. 10th day of Dhul-Hijjah, 1445AH (Sunday, 16th June 2024). *_SUNNAH WAY OF EIDUL ADHAR_*. EID MUBARAK TO YOU ALL. BismilLah.  The Prophet (Sallallaahu ‘Alayhi wa sallam) delivering a khutbah saying: “The first thing to be done on this day (first day of Eid-ul-Adha) is to pray; and after returning from the prayer we slaughter our sacrifices (in the name of ALLAH), and whoever does so, he has acted according to our sunnah.  (Kitaabul-‘Eidayn, Bukhari).    Eid-ul-Adhar is celebrated from the 10th through 13th day of Dhul Hijjah, the 13th month of the lunar calendar. Meaning the sacrifice can be done on any of the 4 days but preferably on the 1st eid day which is today 10th day of Dhul-Hijjah.  On the way to the Eid prayer, while waiting for it and on the way back from the prayer one should recite the following takbeer as much as possible:  Allaahu akbar - Allaahu akbar – Laa ilaaha illallaahu – wal-laahu akbar Allaahu akbar wa lil-laahil-hamd (ALLAH i

Sharing the sacrificial animal is a form of worship.

Sharing the sacrificial animal is a form of worship.  Alhamdulillah, As we know, making sacrifice for the budn(animal) and sharing it to the beggar and needy is what is best.  Allah says,  Al-Hajj 22:36 And the camels and cattle We have appointed for you as among the symbols [i.e., rites] of Allāh; for you therein is good. So mention the name of Allāh upon them when lined up [for sacrifice]; and when they are [lifeless] on their sides, then eat from them and feed the needy [who does not seek aid] and the beggar. Thus have We subjected them to you that you may be grateful. So one divides the meat into three, one for beggar, one for the needy and one for his families.  As reported in hadith,  It was narrated that 'Aishah said: Some Bedouins came to Al-Madinah at the time of (Eid) Al-Adha and the Messenger of Allah said: 'Eat, and store (the meat) for three days' After that they said: 'O Messenger of Allah, the people used to benefit form their sacrifices by melting down

Permissibility to play on the day of eid

Permissibility to play on the day of eid  The day of eid is a day of joy and one is permissible to feel joy on this day as reported in hadith,  It was narrated from 'Urwah that he narrated from Aishah that Abu Bakr As-Siddiq :: Entered upon her and there were two girls with her beating the duff and singing, and the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) was covered with his garment. He uncovered his face and said: "Let them be there, O Abu Bakr, for these are the days of 'Eid" Those were the days of Mina and the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) was in Al-Madinah on that day." Sunan an-Nasa'i 1597 `A'isha reported: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) came (to my apartment) while there were two girls with me singing the song of the Battle of Bu`ath. He lay down on the bed and turned away his face. Then came Abu Bakr and he scolded me and said: Oh! this musical instrument of the devil in the house of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ)!  DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm As-Sabt. 9th day of Dhul-Hijjah, 1445AH (Saturday, 15th June 2024).  *_GOOD DEEDS ON THIS BLESSED DAY OF ARAFAH_*. BismilLah.  *_AlhamdulilLah for granting us the opportunity to be part of this blessed day_*. It's my hope that all those who could fast are Fasting be-iznilLah. *_May ALLAH accept it from us all and forgive our past, present and future shortcomings_*. Aameen.  After each salaat from the fajir of this morning 9th day of Dhul-Hijjah, it's recommended to recite the below Zikir up to the Asr of the 13th day of Dhul Hijjah.  *Allaahu Akbar, Allaahu Akbar, laa ilaaha ill-Allaah, WalLaahu Akbar, Allaahu Akbar, wa Lillaahi’l-hamd* (ALLAH is Most Great, ALLAH is Most Great, ALLAH is Most Great, there is none worthy of worship except ALLAH, ALLAH is Most Great, and all praise be to ALLAH).  As we fast today seeking for ALLAH'S forgiveness, let's recite a lot of Zikir starting from the above. Followed by the following; "Laa 'il

Say this Dhikr today COUNTLESS TIMES

Say this Dhikr today COUNTLESS TIMES (whether you are fasting or not fasting, whether you have ablution or not, inside masjid or outside masjid, while sitting or laying down, while working or walking 🏃‍♀). You can also make a lot of Du'a in Arabic and or in any language. Yes. Make the list of all your heart desires and pour them REPEATEDLY over and over and over.

Fasting or no Fast

*Fasting or no Fast* ------------------------------ بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم Prophet Muhammed, upon whom be peace, said: *“Fasting on the Day of ‘Arafah absolves the sins for two years: the previous year and the coming year.”* 📚 Authentic Hadith Now, Any practicing and obedient Muslim would no doubt want these extraordinary blessings granted by the Mercy of Allah (swt). But If for valid reason(s) such as chronic ulcer, serious sickness, old age factor, traveling to a very far distance or a woman who got obstructed by menses or postnatal bleeding and other genuine reasons, a man or woman is unable to observe the fast on the *"Day of ‘Arafah"*, then you will be rewarded for your good intention as if you were fasting. Servants of Allah! Don't be sad *(if for any of the above mentioned reasons)* you were unable to fast today. Yes. You’re not missing out on the fast of the Arafath Day. Why? Because there’s a lot we can do aside fasting. Servants of Allah Imam Ash-Shafi’i would

Ulcer and Menses

*Ulcer and Menses* ------------------------------ بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم While Muslim faithful (male and female) warm-up to fast on Arafat day - (Saturday, 15-06-2024) inorder to have their sins for 2years whipped-off, the menstrating women are not allowed to fast and people suffering from chronic ulcer may not find it easy to observe Arafat day fast. Yes. But this does not mean that, they have lose-out in any way because it is not their fault. Now, *What is so special about Arafat day?* It is a day where millions of sins are forgiven by Allah (swt).. The Prophet (PBUH) said, *′There is no day on which Allah (swt) frees people from the Fire more so than on the day of ‘Arafah’.* 📚 (Muslim) Undoubtedly, It would be a wasted opportunity if we (You & I) did not spend Arafat day in trying to be one of those people whom Allah (swt) will forgive. Also, The Prophet (PBUH) said, ‘There are no days greater and more beloved to Allah (swt) than these ten days of Dhul Hijjah’ 📚(Ahmad) - So,
