DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm Ath-thalaatha. 5th day of Dhul-Hijjah, 1445AH (Tuesday, 11th June 2024).
*_WHO SHOULD OFFER A SACRIFICE DURING EIDUL ADHAR_*. BismilLah.
The Masenger of ALLAH (sallallahu Alaihi wasallam) is reported to have said: “Whoever can afford to offer a sacrifice but does not do so, let him not approach our place for prayer. (Reported by Ahmad and Ibn Maajah; classed as saheeh by al-Haakim from the hadeeth of Abu Hurayrah (may ALLAAH be pleased with him).
Offering sacrifice during `Eid Al-Adha is regarded as waajib or mandatory according to Imam Abu Hanifah and as sunnah mu'akkadah or confirmed Sunnah according to other jurists for those who has regularly income or those WHO CAN AFFORD. 7 people can share one cow as their sacrifice, a sheep and goat are all permitted. So basically it's only compulsory for those who can afford so please don't ignore it if you can afford. It's not only for married couple please. Any Muslim adult who can afford must do it seeking ALLAH'S pleasure. One animal is sufficient on behalf of all the members of one household.
*_May ALLAH aid us to be able to sacrifice for HIS sake_*. Aameen.
