بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

The one who wants to take two or three or four wives may do so, but if he is confident that he will not be unfair and unjust, and that he will be able to give them their rights. Therefore, any man who wishes to take a second wife has to meet the important condition of fair treatment of all his wives with regards to social, economical and physical needs. Yes. A man with morethan one wife can not be fair or equate the love or how he feels for his wives (50-50) even if he strive hard to do so. But men with more than one wife should not incline completely toward one and leave another hanging (ie - she is neither divorced nor enjoy her marriage). Evidences on this and more were ALREADY discussed in episode 2 & 3 of this article - In shaa Allah

Now,

Continuation of the previous episodes - as promised:

*Can wife relinquish or forfeit some of her right with her husband and give it to her co-wife?:*

Sawda Bint Zam
a: She was the first woman Muhammad (PBUH) married after the death of Khadija.. He married her after her husband's death.. Muhammad (PBUH) sent a message of proposal to her in Ramadan in the tenth year after the Migration, before his marriage with A´isha (RA).. According to A´isha, "It was Sawda Bint Zam
a and the prophet (PBUH) did not lie with her much.. Knowing my importance to the prophet (PBUH), she (sawdah) was afraid he would leave her, so she said, ''O Messenger of Allah, give the day allotted to me to A´isha [from now on], and you are under no obligation to me.'' The Prophet (PBUH) accepted it and the verse below was revealed:

وَإِنِ ٱمْرَأَةٌ خَافَتْ مِنۢ بَعْلِهَا نُشُوزًا أَوْ إِعْرَاضًا فَلَا جُنَاحَ عَلَيْهِمَآ أَن يُصْلِحَا بَيْنَهُمَا صُلْحًا ۚ وَٱلصُّلْحُ خَيْر..."

"And if a woman fears ill usage or desertion on the part of her husband, there is no sin on them, if they effect a reconciliation between them (ie - if they make terms of settlement between them), and reconciliation is better..." 📚 (Q4:128)

Now,

In the above verse, women who fear mistreatment or desertion are told that they can seek a means of reconciliation.. Yes.. What many don’t realize is that, Sura 4:128 above was actually composed in relation to Muhammad (saw) & Sauda bint Zamah (RA) because she had become old and unattractive.

The late Sunni scholar and exegete Ibn Kathir wrote:

"Making peace is better than separation. An example of such peace can be felt in the story of Sawdah bint Zam'ah who WHEN SHE BECAME AGED, THE PROPHET WANTED TO DIVORCE HER, but she made peace with him by offering the night he used to spend with her to A'isha so that he would keep her. The Prophet accepted such terms and kept her.

But,

If a wife relinquished any of her right, then she has a right in the future to once again demand equality.

Imam al-Haskafi (RA) states:

“If a wife granted her right of companionship with the husband to her co-wife, then this will be valid, and she will have the right to reverse her decision in the future if she so desires.” 📚 (See: Radd al-Muhtar ala al-Durr al-Mukhtar, 3/206)

Similarly,

It will be permissible for the husband to remain more in the company of one wife with the express permission of the other, for the prophet (saw) sought the permission of his wives during his illness that led to his demise in order that, he remain in the house of Sayyida A’isha (RA).. His wives granted him permission, thus he spent his last days until he passed away in the house of A’isha (RA). 📚(Sahih al-Bukhari, no. 4919)

GIVE CHARITY FOR YOUR OWN GOOD

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm Ath-thalaatha. 28th day of Shaw'waal, 1445AH (Tuesday 7th May 2024). *_GIVE CHARITY FOR YOUR OWN GOOD_*. Aameen.  Narrated Abu Hurairah [radhi-yAllahu 'anhu]: The Prophet (SallallahuAlaihiWasallam) said, "Charity is obligatory everyday on every joint of a human being.* If one helps a person in matters concerning his riding animal by helping him to ride on it or by lifting his luggage on to it, all these will be regarded as charity. A good word, and every step one takes to offer the compulsory congregational prayer is regarded as charity; and guiding somebody on the road is regarded as charity." [Sahih Al-Bukhari, 4/2891]. To show gratitude to ALLAH for keeping your body safe and sound, you should give in charity or do charitable deeds. Narrated Abu Hurairah [radhi-yAllahu 'anhu]: ALLAH'S Messenger (sallallahuAlaihiWasallam) said, "The strong is not the one who overcomes the people by his strength, but the strong is the one w

NOTHING HAPPENS WITHOUT THE PERMISSION OF ALLAH

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm Arba'a. 29th day of Shaw'waal, 1445AH (Wednesday 8th May 2024). *_NOTHING HAPPENS WITHOUT THE PERMISSION OF ALLAH_*. BismilLah.  Even though feelings of Panic, stress/worries etc are part of life, they must not reduce our acts of worship or trust in ALLAH. The more a man turns to ALLAH and focuses on HIM, the more he will feel a sense of peace and comfort, to an extent that no one knows except ALLAH. Hence those who know ALLAH, are close to HIM and fear HIM are the happiest of people, to such an extent that one of them said, in a well-known expression: “If the kings and the sons of kings knew what joy we have, they would fight us for it with the sword.” This is also what is expressed in the Qur’an, as ALLAH says: “Whoever works righteousness, whether male or female, while he (or she) is a true believer (of Islamic Monotheism) verily, to him ALLAH will give a good life (in this world with respect, contentment and lawful provision), and ALLAH will p
