*People often say:* *"Our actions are judged by our Intentions"*.
﷽
The above phrase is a quotation from a hadith from An-Nawawi collection. Where Rasoulillah says our actions are judged by our intentions especially during the time of Hijra. So basically the hadith is partly talking about Hijra fisabilillah.
But today, you find some Muslims using this hadith to commit sins, then justify their action by saying "Our actions are judged by our Intentions". For example:
1. When a sister goes out without proper Islamic dressing she says don't judge me "Our actions are judged by our Intentions".
2. When a brother lower his trousers below his butts and you correct him, he says don't judge me "Our actions are judged by our Intentions".
3. When people introduce one thing or another, when they are corrected, they say don't judge me "Our actions are judged by our Intentions".
Enough of this. Allah ta'alah is not a fool, you cannot fool Him, you can only fool yourself. Yes! your actions will be judged by how you do it, regardless of your intention. You cannot drink alcohol and say my intention is not to get intoxicated. Or you cannot celebrate Christmas in your friend's house and say my intention is good. Or you cannot visit a magician and say my intention is not to associate partners with Allah. This is not making any sense.
Whosoever twists the Quran or hadith for their personal interest, they will surely answer questions in the day of judgement unless they seek forgiveness.
Be warned.
