*HAPPINESS CANNOT BE BOUGHT WITH MONEY*
"...So Allāh will suffice for you against them..." [Qur'an 2: 137]
There are men who spend their youth and health to accumulate wealth, then spend the rest of their lives spending all that they have acquired in an attempt to buy happiness, but all they get is misery. Or they try to reclaim their youth, but old age overtakes them. Or they try to get their health back, but incurable disease overtakes them.
A famous actor said that all he ever wanted in life was money.
He thought that with money he would be able to be the happiest man in the world for a hundred years! He was confident that if he had money he would be able to achieve all he wished and that everything he hoped for would fall into his hands. After twenty years, Allāh gave him more money than he had wished for, but He took away his health and his youth and dreams! It was reported that he used to cry and say: "I wish I had never asked Allāh for money; I wish that I had asked Him to let me live for a hundred years in poverty, eating cooked broad beans, jumping on the steps of the streetcar to avoid paying the fare." This actor never realised that money cannot buy everything, until he became the most famous actor in Egypt, and he realised that he could not add a single day to his life that was drawing to an end.
"You should not spend half of your life in disputes."
