*DU'Ā : THE MOST POWERFUL WEAPON OF THE BELIEVER (118)*

اَللّٰھُمَّ أَغْنِنِيْ بِالْعِلْمِ ، وَزَیِّنِّيْ بِالْحِلْمِ، وَأَکْرِمْنِيْ بِالتَّقُوٰی، وَجَمِّلْنِيْ بِالْعَافِیَۃِ

Allāhumma aghninī bil-‘ilm(i), wa zayyinnī bil-hilam(i),wa akrimnī bit-taqwā, wa jammilnī bil-‘āfiyah.

O Allah, enrich me with knowledge, grace me with forbearance, honour me with taqwa, and adorn me with peace and security.

Ibn Qayyim Al-Jawziyya says:


SATAN HAS THREE WAYS OF TEMPTING MAN:

1. INCREASE AN EXTRAVAGANCE; to have more than one needs. This addition is the way, which Satan uses to enter the heart. To protect oneself from that is to be careful not to fulfill all the needs of the soul like food, sleep, pleasure, or rest. Whenever you close this door, you would be safe from any enemy.

2. NEGLIGENCE; whoever remembers ALLAAH (SUBHANAHU WA TA'ALA) is protected by the fortress of remembering HIM. When he neglects that he will be opening the door of this fortress and the enemy will enter. It would then be difficult to drive him out.

3. Caring for what is not his business in all matters of life.

 ﷽ ➖➖➖ *IMPORTANCE OF SEEKING KNOWLEDGE* ➖➖➖ *An obligation upon every Muslim* ➖➖➖  Allah ﷻ says  *وَعَلَّمَ ءَادَمَ الأَسْمَآءَ كُلَّهَا* _And He taught Adam all the names of everything_ Meaning, the names that people use, such as human, animal, sky, earth, land, sea, horse, donkey, and so forth, including the names of the other species" *ثُمَّ عَرَضَهُمْ عَلَى الْمَلَـئِكَةِ* _Then He showed them to the angels_ Meaning, the creations.
