The Freedom In Modesty* Written by Naadira Chhipa

 *The Freedom In Modesty*

Written by Naadira Chhipa

There is a new trend of Muslim social media influencers and celebrities who are removing their hijaab and celebrating freedom in that. Their caption often states 'do not judge'. This is extremely sad and very disturbing. These sisters have thousands if not millions of women who emulate, purchase brands they endorse, look to them for inspiration, shower them with attention as well as 'follow' their daily updates. What is the point of removing your hijaab if you are promoting modesty? Why influence the world into believing there is freedom in removing our hijaab?

There are millions of sisters who have fought and are fighting for the right to wear their hijaab in countries in which it is not allowed by law. There are millions of sisters who are struggling to adorn the hijaab and are looking for that extra motivation to do so. There are billions of sisters who find happiness, peace and contentment in wearing their hijaab as they know that is it for the pleasure of Allah not for the pleasure of this world and its people.

Yes we hear this ' do not judge' all the time but it is our right as sisters of the Ummah of Prophet Muhammad(Blessings and Peace of Allāh be upon him) to guide, advise and encourage others towards the goodness of this world and the hereafter.

So much of hate, negativity, vulgarity, jealousy, nudity, arrogance, pride, gossip, slander and ridicule  being spewed all over social media.

To the influencers who promote the hijaab, wear the hijaab and then remove the hijaab: your intentions are known only by you and Allah. Remember you are influencing many sisters who are already in hijaab as well as those who are considering wearing the hijaab into believing that there is light, freedom and happiness in showcasing your hair, body and beauty to the world. Allah has ordered us to cover our hair, it is not an option but a command to conceal our body and hair. This command is not just to those influencers but for all Muslimahs, yet people who now have SOCIAL Media influence are promoting the freedom and happiness in showcasing their body and hair.

Their pictures are even applauded and encouraged by their 'fans'. Their expression of freedom is praised as this is the sad state of the Ummah our beloved Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W) cried for.

'Do not judge'. Yes we are not the haraam police or high judges of this world but removing your hijaab is not freedom but rather submission to materialism, ego, pride, immodesty, attention craving and the whispers of shaytaan.

This is what the enemies of Islam applauded thousands of years ago and this is what they applaud and encourage today: freedom to not practice Islam and freedom to showcase disobedience to ALLAH.

Remember modesty is a branch of Imaan my dear sisters. Remember you are answerable for yourself as well as all those hearts, minds and souls you influence. May Allah guide us all with understanding and mercy. Ameen-Naadira Chhipa

The beauty of modesty is priceless.

NOTHING HAPPENS WITHOUT THE PERMISSION OF ALLAH

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm Arba'a. 29th day of Shaw'waal, 1445AH (Wednesday 8th May 2024). *_NOTHING HAPPENS WITHOUT THE PERMISSION OF ALLAH_*. BismilLah.  Even though feelings of Panic, stress/worries etc are part of life, they must not reduce our acts of worship or trust in ALLAH. The more a man turns to ALLAH and focuses on HIM, the more he will feel a sense of peace and comfort, to an extent that no one knows except ALLAH. Hence those who know ALLAH, are close to HIM and fear HIM are the happiest of people, to such an extent that one of them said, in a well-known expression: “If the kings and the sons of kings knew what joy we have, they would fight us for it with the sword.” This is also what is expressed in the Qur’an, as ALLAH says: “Whoever works righteousness, whether male or female, while he (or she) is a true believer (of Islamic Monotheism) verily, to him ALLAH will give a good life (in this world with respect, contentment and lawful provision), and ALLAH will ...

HELPING OTHERS WITH INTENTION FOR ALLAH'S HELP IN RETURN

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yaum Al-Khamis, 22nd day of Jumaadal Uula 1447AH, Thursday, 13th November, 2025.  *_HELPING OTHERS WITH INTENTION FOR ALLAH'S HELP IN RETURN_*. BismilLah.  When we help our brothers and sisters in Islam, in reality, we are helping ourselves. The Messenger of ALLAH (S.A.W) said: He who relieves the hardship of a believer in this world, ALLAH Azzawajallah will relieve his hardship on the Day of Judgment. He who makes easy what is difficult, ALLAH ALLAH Azzawajallah will make it easy for him in the world and the hereafter. He who conceals the faults of a Muslim, ALLAH ALLAH Azzawajallah will conceal his faults in this ALLAH Azzawajallah world and the Hereafter, for ALLAH helps the servant as long as he helps his brother. Source: Ṣaḥīḥ "Muslim 2699. AlhamdulilLah.  With this I hope with immediate effect we will all strive to help each other in any possible way such as making dua for each other, supporting our relatives and those in need in ou...

THE MUSLIM WOMAN AND HER OWN SELF

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yawm athalaatha, 3rd day of Rabeeul Awwal 1447AH, Tuesday, 26th August 2025. *_THE MUSLIM WOMAN AND HER OWN SELF_*. BismilLah.  Islam encourages Muslims in general to stand out among people, readily distinguishable by their dress, appearance and behaviour, so that they will be a good example, worthy of the great message that they bring to humanity. According to the hadith narrated by the great Sahabi Ibn al-Hanzaliyyah, the Prophet (sallallahu alaihi wasallam ) told his Companions, when they were travelling to meet some brothers in faith: "You are going to visit your brothers, so repair your saddles and make sure that you are dressed well, so that you will stand out among people like an adornment, for ALLAH (SWT) does not love ugliness." Reported by Imam Abu Dawud, 4/83, in Kitab al-libas, bab ma ja'a fi isbal al-izar. The Prophet (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) considered an unkempt and careless appearance, and scruffy clothes and furnishings, to be...
