You will be with whom you love

Allah ﷻ says in the Qur'an:

And whoever obeys Allah and the Messenger will be in the company of those blessed by Allah: the prophets, the people of truth, the martyrs, and the righteous—what honourable company!

[4:69]

Do you know what the cause of revelation for this Ayah is?

Abu Nu’aym and Tabaraani narrated this Hadith,

On the Authority of Ai’sha رضي الله عنها, she said:

A man came to the Prophet ﷺ and said “Oh Messenger of Allah! By Allah, Indeed you are more beloved to me than myself, my family, my children and anything else. Whilst I am in my house I remember you, and I am not able to remain patient until I come to you so that I look at you, and when I remembered my death and your death, I realised that when you enter Jannah you will be raised to be amongst the Prophets, and when I enter Jannah I am scared I won’t see you.”

The Prophet ﷺ did not respond to him, until Jibreel عَلَيْهِ ٱلسَّلَامُ descended with this Ayah, “And whoever obeys Allah and the Messenger will be in the company of those blessed by Allah: the prophets, the people of truth, the martyrs, and the righteous—what honourable company!"

[This was collected by Al-Hafiz Abu `Abdullah Al-Maqdisi in his book, Sifat Al-Jannah, Al-Tabari included it in his Tafsir (8/534-535)]

Another Hadith, equally as beautiful:

عن أنس ابن مالك قال:

أن رجلا سأل النبي ﷺ عن الساعة، قال متى الساعة؟ قال: و ماذا أعددت لها؟ قال: لا شيء إلا إني أحب الله و رسوله ﷺ

قال: أنت مع من أحببت.

قال أنس: فما فرحنا بشيء فرحنا بقول النبي ﷺ “أنت مع من أحببت"

Anas رضي الله عنه narrates that a man asked the Prophet ﷺ about Qiyamah.

He said “When is Qiyamah?” He ﷺ said “and what have you prepared for it?” He said “Nothing except that I love Allah and His Messenger ﷺ”

The Prophet ﷺ said “You will be with whom you love”

Anas رضي الله عنه said “We did not rejoice with anything like we did with the saying of the Prophet ﷺ “You will be with whom you love.”

[Sahih al-Bukhari 3688]

GIVE CHARITY FOR YOUR OWN GOOD

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm Ath-thalaatha. 28th day of Shaw'waal, 1445AH (Tuesday 7th May 2024). *_GIVE CHARITY FOR YOUR OWN GOOD_*. Aameen.  Narrated Abu Hurairah [radhi-yAllahu 'anhu]: The Prophet (SallallahuAlaihiWasallam) said, "Charity is obligatory everyday on every joint of a human being.* If one helps a person in matters concerning his riding animal by helping him to ride on it or by lifting his luggage on to it, all these will be regarded as charity. A good word, and every step one takes to offer the compulsory congregational prayer is regarded as charity; and guiding somebody on the road is regarded as charity." [Sahih Al-Bukhari, 4/2891]. To show gratitude to ALLAH for keeping your body safe and sound, you should give in charity or do charitable deeds. Narrated Abu Hurairah [radhi-yAllahu 'anhu]: ALLAH'S Messenger (sallallahuAlaihiWasallam) said, "The strong is not the one who overcomes the people by his strength, but the strong is the one w

NOTHING HAPPENS WITHOUT THE PERMISSION OF ALLAH

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm Arba'a. 29th day of Shaw'waal, 1445AH (Wednesday 8th May 2024). *_NOTHING HAPPENS WITHOUT THE PERMISSION OF ALLAH_*. BismilLah.  Even though feelings of Panic, stress/worries etc are part of life, they must not reduce our acts of worship or trust in ALLAH. The more a man turns to ALLAH and focuses on HIM, the more he will feel a sense of peace and comfort, to an extent that no one knows except ALLAH. Hence those who know ALLAH, are close to HIM and fear HIM are the happiest of people, to such an extent that one of them said, in a well-known expression: “If the kings and the sons of kings knew what joy we have, they would fight us for it with the sword.” This is also what is expressed in the Qur’an, as ALLAH says: “Whoever works righteousness, whether male or female, while he (or she) is a true believer (of Islamic Monotheism) verily, to him ALLAH will give a good life (in this world with respect, contentment and lawful provision), and ALLAH will p
