Fasting is Knocking* [[--- Episode Ten ---]]

 *Fasting is Knocking*

[[--- Episode Ten ---]]
--------------------------------

بسم الله الرحمان الرحيم

In Surah - Al-Baqarah - chapter 2 verse 183, Allah (swt) stated clearly the main aim & objective of fasting the month of Ramadan is to *dry-clean* our faith:

Evidence:

"O you who have believed, decreed upon you is fasting as it was decreed upon those before you *that you may become righteous* 📚2:183

So,

Every year, if after fasting the month of Ramadan and yet you didn't increase in faith steadily,, then...😷

Now,

*How do you prepare your body & soul for this task?*

*Number 1:* Improve on your character:

Abu Huraira (r.a) narrated that: The Prophet (PBUH) said, *“Whoever does not give up forged speech (eg - telling lies, backbiting etc) and evil actions (eg - listening to music, including so-called Islamic music 🎵, watching movies on TV etc), Allah (swt) is not in need of his or her leaving his food and drink (i.e. Allah will not accept his fasting.)”* 📚[Sahih Al-Bukhari 1903, Book 30, Hadith 13]

So,

Fasting is more than just abstaining from food but from indecent speech and lustful desires as well.

Now,

What consume most of our TRILLIONS of rewards we suffered to gather in our account of good deeds is - backbiting.

What is backbiting?

Abu Huraira reported: The prophet (PBUH) said, *“Do you know what backbiting is?”* They said, “Allah and his messenger know best.” The Prophet said, *“To mention your brother or sister in his or her absent in a way he or she dislikes if heard.”* It was said, *“What do you think if what I said about him is true?”* The Prophet said, *“If what you say about him is true, it is backbiting. If it is not true, it is slander.”* 📚Source: S‌ah‌i‌h‌ Muslim 2589

The Prophet once asked his Companions, *“Do you know who the bankrupt is?“* The Companions said, *“A bankrupt is the one who has neither dirham (money) nor wealth.”* The Prophet said: *“The bankrupt among my Ummah is he who would come on the Day of Judgment with prayers, fasting, and zakah; but he had offended one person, slandered another, devoured others’ wealth, shed the blood of this person, and beat that person. Each one of these people would be given some of the wrongdoer’s good deeds. If his good deeds fall short of settling the account, then their sins will be taken from their accounts and thrown into his account, and he would be thrown in the Hellfire.* 📚(Muslim)

*Number 1:* Finish All Pending Fasts

If you still have unpaid missed Ramadan fast (either observing the real fasting of missed days or fidya payments), then, stop dancing to the music of shaytan who will not stop whispering to you that *"there's still time to make it up"*. Yes. This destructive whispering will not stop and before you open eyes 👀 and close it, 2025 Ramadan fast will say *"here I am"*😀

If one who fall into the category of
paying back the missed Ramadan fast *(as already previously explained)*, delays making up a missed Ramadan fast and another Ramadan set in, then, the person have committed a big sin and will face double punishment:*(that's paying all the missed Ramadan fast and feeding the needy for each of the days)*. Yes. This is evident in the report narrated from Ibn ‘Abbas, Ibn ‘Umar and Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with them) who said concerning the one who has to make up a missed fast but does not do so until the next Ramadan comes: “He must make it up and feed one poor person for each day.” This fidyah is for delaying it. It is permissible to offer the food before making up the fast, at the same time, or afterwards.”

Furthermore,

The one who missed more than one fast in the month of Ramadan with genuine reasons like old age, chronic sickness or lifetime sickness can set a day to give the fidya at ago. Yes. Even if the missed Ramadan fast is up to 30. 📚Shaykh Ibn `Uthaymin (may Allah have mercy on him) - in Fatawa As-Siyam (p. 111).

*Share this very write-up to remind others*

NOTHING HAPPENS WITHOUT THE PERMISSION OF ALLAH

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm Arba'a. 29th day of Shaw'waal, 1445AH (Wednesday 8th May 2024). *_NOTHING HAPPENS WITHOUT THE PERMISSION OF ALLAH_*. BismilLah.  Even though feelings of Panic, stress/worries etc are part of life, they must not reduce our acts of worship or trust in ALLAH. The more a man turns to ALLAH and focuses on HIM, the more he will feel a sense of peace and comfort, to an extent that no one knows except ALLAH. Hence those who know ALLAH, are close to HIM and fear HIM are the happiest of people, to such an extent that one of them said, in a well-known expression: “If the kings and the sons of kings knew what joy we have, they would fight us for it with the sword.” This is also what is expressed in the Qur’an, as ALLAH says: “Whoever works righteousness, whether male or female, while he (or she) is a true believer (of Islamic Monotheism) verily, to him ALLAH will give a good life (in this world with respect, contentment and lawful provision), and ALLAH will ...

HELPING OTHERS WITH INTENTION FOR ALLAH'S HELP IN RETURN

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yaum Al-Khamis, 22nd day of Jumaadal Uula 1447AH, Thursday, 13th November, 2025.  *_HELPING OTHERS WITH INTENTION FOR ALLAH'S HELP IN RETURN_*. BismilLah.  When we help our brothers and sisters in Islam, in reality, we are helping ourselves. The Messenger of ALLAH (S.A.W) said: He who relieves the hardship of a believer in this world, ALLAH Azzawajallah will relieve his hardship on the Day of Judgment. He who makes easy what is difficult, ALLAH ALLAH Azzawajallah will make it easy for him in the world and the hereafter. He who conceals the faults of a Muslim, ALLAH ALLAH Azzawajallah will conceal his faults in this ALLAH Azzawajallah world and the Hereafter, for ALLAH helps the servant as long as he helps his brother. Source: Ṣaḥīḥ "Muslim 2699. AlhamdulilLah.  With this I hope with immediate effect we will all strive to help each other in any possible way such as making dua for each other, supporting our relatives and those in need in ou...

THE MUSLIM WOMAN AND HER OWN SELF

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yawm athalaatha, 3rd day of Rabeeul Awwal 1447AH, Tuesday, 26th August 2025. *_THE MUSLIM WOMAN AND HER OWN SELF_*. BismilLah.  Islam encourages Muslims in general to stand out among people, readily distinguishable by their dress, appearance and behaviour, so that they will be a good example, worthy of the great message that they bring to humanity. According to the hadith narrated by the great Sahabi Ibn al-Hanzaliyyah, the Prophet (sallallahu alaihi wasallam ) told his Companions, when they were travelling to meet some brothers in faith: "You are going to visit your brothers, so repair your saddles and make sure that you are dressed well, so that you will stand out among people like an adornment, for ALLAH (SWT) does not love ugliness." Reported by Imam Abu Dawud, 4/83, in Kitab al-libas, bab ma ja'a fi isbal al-izar. The Prophet (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) considered an unkempt and careless appearance, and scruffy clothes and furnishings, to be...
