 Shirk and why we need to abstain from it.

Alhamdulillah, shirk as we know is a great sin in Islam which when one dies with it, Allah will never forgive such person.

Allah says,

Verily Allah does not forgiveth the sin of associating partners with him but he forgive other than that.

Surah 4;48

Same in surah 4;114.


Shirk is a sin when one dies with it will enter hellfire.


What is shirk?

Shirk came from word sharaka meaning partners or associate.

Any thing that a person takes which is the right of Allah and give it to a person has committed shirk like slaughtering, seeking help, protection, making Dua and the rest.

As reported in hadith,

The prophet pbuh said,

There is no one who associate partner with Allah but dies that will enter paradise. Sahih


In another hadith,

Narrated 'Abdul-Hamid bin Ja'far:


My father informed me, from Ibn Mina, from ABu Sa'eed bin Abi Fadalah Al-Ansari - and he was one of the Companions - who said: 'I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "When Allah gathers the people on the Day of Judgement - a Day in which there is no doubt in - a caller will call out: 'Whoever committed Shirk in any of his deeds he did for Allah - then let him seek his reward from other than Allah. For indeed Allah is the most free of the partners from any need of Shirk.""

 *BEST TIME FOR TAHAJJUD* It is best to delay this prayer to the last third portion of the night. Abu Hurairah reports that the Messenger of Allah said: "Our Lord descends to the lowest heaven during the last third of the night, inquiring: 'Who will call on Me so that I may respond to him?
