Fasting is Knocking* [[-- Episode Eight --]]

*Fasting is Knocking*
[[-- Episode Eight --]]
--------------------------------

بسم الله الرحمان الرحيم

It is worrisome to see that ONE YEAR have been subtracted from the years “You & I” have left to spend in this world. I almost shed tears when i checked this year calendar and noticed that - *”IN LESS THAN two months to come, WE WILL ENTER THIS YEAR MONTH OF RAMADAN”* - In sha Allah… Just like yesterday, we were discussing about Idil-Fitr preparation and celebration, now, we are already smelling another month of Ramadan.

There is no doubt that “You & I” are inside a moving bus heading towards a particular destination.. Destination? Yes, destination – that is hearafter which begin immediately we died.

The big questions here are:

▪️What have “You & I” DONE OF GOOD DEEDS from the end last year ramadan and now that this year ramadan is ALREADY KNOCKING at our doors?

▪️How sure are we that our good deeds DONE for the PAST 11months have been  OPTIMALLY accepted?

▪️What about the sins we committed against ALLAH (swt) & against humanity for the past 11months?

Servants of Allah,

Alhamdulillah!!! We are gradually smelling the month of Ramadan for this year in a few weeks’ time - In Shaa Allah. We praise Allah (s.w.t) for all the blessings HE has bestowed upon us, praying that Allah (swt) grant us opportunity to maximize goodies shared to good servants of Allah in this year month of ramadan. Yes. Because:

(1) It is not all of us who will see the commencement of this year Ramadan; (2) it is not all of us who may witness this year month of ramadan, will actually do good work or grab the goodies shared to sincere servants of Allah.

My people!

It's not possible to have a 'Phone Call' to anyone go through without meeting the following requirements:

(1) Our Phones must have a battery charge (ie - The phone will not have flat battery);

(2) Even if our phone is fully charged, but lack airtime, making calls going through will be impossible;

(3) Let's say the phone is fully charged, airtime to make calls is available but there's no network, would it be possible to make calls go through? No!

Servants of Allah!

The scenarios above is the same thing with every act of worship. Yes. No single act of worship will be accepted by Allah (swt) EXCEPT it meets the requirements for acceptance. These requirements include:

(1) Doing it to please Allah (swt) only;

(2) Doing it in accordance with the shareeyyah (ie - avoiding bidia/innovation);

(3) Doing it while in pure state of eemaan. This means, we can not engage in serving devils eg, patronizing those who claim to have the knowledge of unseen or use of charms, rings and the like for protection and still think we are a Muslim.

Now,

Allah (swt) say in Surah Al-Baqarah verse 183:

يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ كُتِبَ عَلَيْكُمُ ٱلصِّيَامُ كَمَا كُتِبَ عَلَى ٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِكُمْ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَتَّقُونَ

"O you who have believed, decreed upon you is fasting as it was decreed upon those before you *that you may become righteous*".  📚Al-Baqarah 2:183

Abu Huraira (r.a.) related that the Prophet (pbuh) said: “Whoever fasts during Ramadan *with faith and seeking his reward from Allah will have his past sins forgiven. Whoever prays during the nights in Ramadan with faith and seeking his reward from Allah will have his past sins forgiven. And he who passes Lailat Al-Qadr in prayer with faith and seeking his reward from Allah will have his past sins forgiven.”* 📚Bukhari, Muslim

Now,

We MUST meet up with the requirements for accepting our Ibadah in the month of Ramadan, if not, we will only rush into the month of Ramadan and rush out with no benefits.

Muslim Faithful?

Like any other battle, we have to plan and strategize to enter this year's month of Ramadan. Yes. There is a saying that goes; *“If you fail to plan, you plan to fail”* and this is one of the best times....

*Share this very write-up to remind others*

NOTHING HAPPENS WITHOUT THE PERMISSION OF ALLAH

 DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm Arba'a. 29th day of Shaw'waal, 1445AH (Wednesday 8th May 2024). *_NOTHING HAPPENS WITHOUT THE PERMISSION OF ALLAH_*. BismilLah.  Even though feelings of Panic, stress/worries etc are part of life, they must not reduce our acts of worship or trust in ALLAH. The more a man turns to ALLAH and focuses on HIM, the more he will feel a sense of peace and comfort, to an extent that no one knows except ALLAH. Hence those who know ALLAH, are close to HIM and fear HIM are the happiest of people, to such an extent that one of them said, in a well-known expression: “If the kings and the sons of kings knew what joy we have, they would fight us for it with the sword.” This is also what is expressed in the Qur’an, as ALLAH says: “Whoever works righteousness, whether male or female, while he (or she) is a true believer (of Islamic Monotheism) verily, to him ALLAH will give a good life (in this world with respect, contentment and lawful provision), and ALLAH will ...

HELPING OTHERS WITH INTENTION FOR ALLAH'S HELP IN RETURN

 DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yaum Al-Khamis, 22nd day of Jumaadal Uula 1447AH, Thursday, 13th November, 2025.  *_HELPING OTHERS WITH INTENTION FOR ALLAH'S HELP IN RETURN_*. BismilLah.  When we help our brothers and sisters in Islam, in reality, we are helping ourselves. The Messenger of ALLAH (S.A.W) said: He who relieves the hardship of a believer in this world, ALLAH Azzawajallah will relieve his hardship on the Day of Judgment. He who makes easy what is difficult, ALLAH ALLAH Azzawajallah will make it easy for him in the world and the hereafter. He who conceals the faults of a Muslim, ALLAH ALLAH Azzawajallah will conceal his faults in this ALLAH Azzawajallah world and the Hereafter, for ALLAH helps the servant as long as he helps his brother. Source: Ṣaḥīḥ "Muslim 2699. AlhamdulilLah.  With this I hope with immediate effect we will all strive to help each other in any possible way such as making dua for each other, supporting our relatives and those in need in ou...

THE MUSLIM WOMAN AND HER OWN SELF

 DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yawm athalaatha, 3rd day of Rabeeul Awwal 1447AH, Tuesday, 26th August 2025. *_THE MUSLIM WOMAN AND HER OWN SELF_*. BismilLah.  Islam encourages Muslims in general to stand out among people, readily distinguishable by their dress, appearance and behaviour, so that they will be a good example, worthy of the great message that they bring to humanity. According to the hadith narrated by the great Sahabi Ibn al-Hanzaliyyah, the Prophet (sallallahu alaihi wasallam ) told his Companions, when they were travelling to meet some brothers in faith: "You are going to visit your brothers, so repair your saddles and make sure that you are dressed well, so that you will stand out among people like an adornment, for ALLAH (SWT) does not love ugliness." Reported by Imam Abu Dawud, 4/83, in Kitab al-libas, bab ma ja'a fi isbal al-izar. The Prophet (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) considered an unkempt and careless appearance, and scruffy clothes and furnishings, to be...
