Old Woman's Boy

 *Old Woman's Boy*

--------------------------------

بسم الله الرحمان الرحيم

👉🏻 Imam Ahmad ibn Hanbal once told a story about a woman who left her son to look a shady place to feed him a loaf of bread. While she was looking around, a kidnapper came and took the boy to sell him into slavery. When she returned and discovered that her little boy was gone, she burst into tear. Meanwhile, a beggar passed by asking for food; despite her pain and fears, she handed the man the loaf of bread she had been carrying for her son. In just a few minutes, the kidnapper came back with her little boy. He told her,” As I was trying to sell him, a strange voice from within said to me,’ Don’t you have a son? Aren’t you afraid that he might face the same fate one day?’ So, I came back to return your boy.”

The woman took her child in her arms and said:” Glory be to Allah, who has accepted my loaf of bread as charity.”

My people!

Generations before us had received COUNTLESS MIRACULOUS favors from Allah (swt).

e.g,

Nana Maryam (a.s.) grew up serving Allah (swt). She naturally spent a lot of time in secluded worship. Closed away in her private prayer room, Prophet Zakariyya (a.s.) was amazed that there was always food coming into the room

Scholars have said, ‘Prophet Zakariyya would find her with the fruits of the summer during winter, and the fruits of the winter during summer’. 📚[Tafseer Ibn Katheer]

My people!

If this is the ways prophet's companions acted, this religion will not get to us. Yes. Countless mosque where we observe daily Swalah were abandoned today, and Allah (swt) did not design it that HIS Angels from the sky should descend to do the jobs of masjid maintenance meant for human beings.

Today,

In our houses, we changed this and that because they are spoiled, we buy this and that for the smooth running of the house (despite the hash economy), but allowed masjid suffer lack of maintenance. Yes. Not only in your house, even in the masjid, maintenance and replacement has become a necessity.

Muslim Faithful!

Years back, if you are used to dropping a minimum of say #100 everyday inside FISSABILILLAHI BOX in masjid where you pray, the rewards you collect now if you drop the same amount (#100) is going to be × multiplied by 7 and by 70 and by 700 and by....(depending on the degree of purity of your intention). Yes. And this reward multiplication effect is applicable to any SADAQAH you give in this life when you have countless financial problems but squeeze out something for sadaqah just to please Allah (swt).

Evidence:

A man came to the Prophet, (PBUH) and he said, *“O Messenger of Allah, which charity has the greatest reward?” The Prophet said, “That you give charity while you are healthy, greedy, fearing poverty, and hoping to be rich. Do not delay giving...”* 📚 Al-Bukha‌ri‌ 1419, S‌ah‌i‌h‌ Muslim 1032

Therefore,

I remind myself, you and every woman who pray at home to prepare to be dropping something (reasonable) inside FISSABILILLAHI BOX... Every woman ? Yes. Women who pray at home should also not be left behind in budgeting something for the maintenance of the house of Allah. As many masaajid have account details which she can use to send her contribution. She can also send her husband or son to help her drop something inside Fissabilillahi box *(ie - if she knows that her husband or son will not corner it into his pocket)*. We should do this REGULARLY especially today (Friday) - for the running of the activities of the masjid & for the propagation of the religion of Allah in general. Yes. The rewards of SADAQAH in this hard time is bigger than huge & unquantifiable *(according to authentic hadith)*. Yes. The ONLY person who is EXCLUDED from giving is the person who have nothing at all to give.

*Share this very write-up to remind others*

NOTHING HAPPENS WITHOUT THE PERMISSION OF ALLAH

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm Arba'a. 29th day of Shaw'waal, 1445AH (Wednesday 8th May 2024). *_NOTHING HAPPENS WITHOUT THE PERMISSION OF ALLAH_*. BismilLah.  Even though feelings of Panic, stress/worries etc are part of life, they must not reduce our acts of worship or trust in ALLAH. The more a man turns to ALLAH and focuses on HIM, the more he will feel a sense of peace and comfort, to an extent that no one knows except ALLAH. Hence those who know ALLAH, are close to HIM and fear HIM are the happiest of people, to such an extent that one of them said, in a well-known expression: “If the kings and the sons of kings knew what joy we have, they would fight us for it with the sword.” This is also what is expressed in the Qur’an, as ALLAH says: “Whoever works righteousness, whether male or female, while he (or she) is a true believer (of Islamic Monotheism) verily, to him ALLAH will give a good life (in this world with respect, contentment and lawful provision), and ALLAH will ...

HELPING OTHERS WITH INTENTION FOR ALLAH'S HELP IN RETURN

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yaum Al-Khamis, 22nd day of Jumaadal Uula 1447AH, Thursday, 13th November, 2025.  *_HELPING OTHERS WITH INTENTION FOR ALLAH'S HELP IN RETURN_*. BismilLah.  When we help our brothers and sisters in Islam, in reality, we are helping ourselves. The Messenger of ALLAH (S.A.W) said: He who relieves the hardship of a believer in this world, ALLAH Azzawajallah will relieve his hardship on the Day of Judgment. He who makes easy what is difficult, ALLAH ALLAH Azzawajallah will make it easy for him in the world and the hereafter. He who conceals the faults of a Muslim, ALLAH ALLAH Azzawajallah will conceal his faults in this ALLAH Azzawajallah world and the Hereafter, for ALLAH helps the servant as long as he helps his brother. Source: Ṣaḥīḥ "Muslim 2699. AlhamdulilLah.  With this I hope with immediate effect we will all strive to help each other in any possible way such as making dua for each other, supporting our relatives and those in need in ou...

THE MUSLIM WOMAN AND HER OWN SELF

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDER. Yawm athalaatha, 3rd day of Rabeeul Awwal 1447AH, Tuesday, 26th August 2025. *_THE MUSLIM WOMAN AND HER OWN SELF_*. BismilLah.  Islam encourages Muslims in general to stand out among people, readily distinguishable by their dress, appearance and behaviour, so that they will be a good example, worthy of the great message that they bring to humanity. According to the hadith narrated by the great Sahabi Ibn al-Hanzaliyyah, the Prophet (sallallahu alaihi wasallam ) told his Companions, when they were travelling to meet some brothers in faith: "You are going to visit your brothers, so repair your saddles and make sure that you are dressed well, so that you will stand out among people like an adornment, for ALLAH (SWT) does not love ugliness." Reported by Imam Abu Dawud, 4/83, in Kitab al-libas, bab ma ja'a fi isbal al-izar. The Prophet (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) considered an unkempt and careless appearance, and scruffy clothes and furnishings, to be...
