*Haven't you Heard?*
[[----- Part Five -----]]--------------------------------
بسم الله الرحمان الرحيم
Haven't you heard that the Messenger of Allah, (PBUH) said, *“Everyone from my nation will enter Paradise but those who refuse.” They said, “O Messenger of Allah, who will refuse?” The Prophet said, “Whoever obeys me enters Paradise, and whoever disobeys me has refused.”* 📚Source: Sahih al-Bukhari 7280
My people!
The Hadīth above gives good news to the righteous people in this Ummah that they all will enter Paradise except those who disobey Allah and His Messenger.
Muslim Faithful!
We have all committed some sins in the past, the sins that if we remember, we become ashamed of ourselves, we become worried - as whether we will get Allah's mercy on the day of judgement or not.
But guess what?
If we repent sincerely, Allah (swt) will command Angels to continue to seek forgiveness for ALL our repented sins till the day of judgement 😳. Yes. There's an evidence to this in the glorious Quran. Surah Ghafir, chapter 40 verse 7
"Those [angels] who carry the Throne and those around it exalt [Allāh] with praise of their Lord and believe in Him and ask forgiveness for those who have believed, [saying], "Our Lord, You have encompassed all things in mercy and knowledge, so forgive those who have repented and followed Your way and protect them from the punishment of Hellfire. 📚Q40:7
Now,
What's sincere repentance?
As for sincerity in repentance, it is achieved when a repentant quits the sin exclusively for the sake of Allah (swt), aspiring for His forgiveness and seeking to earn His pleasure and escape His punishment, as opposed to quitting a sin for a worldly reason.
*The Conditions for Repentance*
The conditions for repentance are well known:
1. Leaving the sin;
2. Remorse over having committed the sin;
3. Resolve never to return to the sin;
4. (If it relates to the rights of another person, then to) Return the rights or property one wrongly took (if doing that is possible).
If these conditions are truly met, then one can expect one’s sins to be forgiven. However, one has to be very careful about how sincere one is in fulfilling one’s conditions. It is recommended to seek forgiveness a lot, and to repent every time the sin comes to one’s mind.
If one keeps repeating the sin, then one should find the root cause(s) of the sin and eliminate them. For example, if one falls into a certain sin because of the company one keeps, then it would be necessary to either stop keeping their company, or to change the nature of one’s relationship with them.
*Rulings on sins committed against other people before being guided*
When a person sincerely repents by regretting what he has done and resolving not to repeat it, and he gives it up out of respect and fear of Allaah, then Allaah accepts his repentance and wipes out his past sins by His grace and kindness.
But if the sin involved wrongdoing against someone else, then the sinner has to do what he is obliged to do by.......
