40 Hadīths For Children With Stories Episode 5: The 'Meanie'

*40 Hadīths For Children With Stories*

*Episode 5: The 'Meanie'*

It was a beautiful summer day and children were playing on the shore of a stream. Among them was a boy named Abdul-Gaffar, but all the children called him 'Meanie' because of his cruel treatment to animals. Abdul-Gaffar was bored with the game they were playing; he wanted to play something that was more exciting and interesting. The other children made some suggestions, but he thought they were all boring.

Abdul-Gaffar called aside some of his friends who thought like him. Soon they announced that they had come up with a fun game.

The other children wondered what this game could be.

Abdul-Gaffar and his friends sneaked behind their friend Ali, who was new in town, and didn't know how to swim. They caught his hands and legs and threw poor Ali into the stream!

Ali panicked. He struggled hard to swim, but the harder he tried the more he sank. He started screaming for help. Abdul-Gaffar and his friends were laughing as he screamed.

One of the other children quickly took off his clothes. It was Ismā'īl. Ismā'īl was a brave kid and only he could stand up to Abdul-Gaffar. As soon as he saw what they had done to Ali, he rose up against them. In a few minutes, he brought Ali safely to shore.

The other children congratulated Ismā'īl. A man passing by had seen everything. The well-dressed, kind-faced man went up to Ismā'īl, and putting his hand on his shoulder, said: "My dear boy, you have acted just as the way our beloved Prophet Muhammad (Blessings and Peace of Allāh be upon him) has ordered. May Allāh be pleased with you.

Our beloved Prophet Muhammad (Blessings and Peace of Allāh be upon him) said in one of his Hadīths:

المسلم أخو المسلم لا يظلمه ولا يسلمه

رواه البخاري

*"A Muslim is the brother of another Muslim. He neither oppresses him nor leaves him in evil hands."*

*[Bukhāri]*

Source of the Hadīth: Bukhāri, Kitāb al-Mazālim, Hadīth Number 3.

*Pearls Of Motivation*

Don’t live in regret. The past is over. Today is a new day; you are not the same person you were before. Believe that today will be better than yesterday. It’s about looking up with hope and looking forward. Look for new opportunities that Almighty Allāh has planned for you.

Aameen.  Narrated Abu Hurairah [radhi-yAllahu 'anhu]: The Prophet (SallallahuAlaihiWasallam) said, "Charity is obligatory everyday on every joint of a human being.* If one helps a person in matters concerning his riding animal by helping him to ride on it or by lifting his luggage on to it, all these will be regarded as charity. A good word, and every step one takes to offer the compulsory congregational prayer is regarded as charity; and guiding somebody on the road is regarded as charity." [Sahih Al-Bukhari, 4/2891]. To show gratitude to ALLAH for keeping your body safe and sound, you should give in charity or do charitable deeds. Narrated Abu Hurairah [radhi-yAllahu 'anhu]: ALLAH'S Messenger (sallallahuAlaihiWasallam) said, "The strong is not the one who overcomes the people by his strength, but the strong is the one w

NOTHING HAPPENS WITHOUT THE PERMISSION OF ALLAH

DAILY ISLAMIC REMINDERS. Yawm Arba'a. 29th day of Shaw'waal, 1445AH (Wednesday 8th May 2024). *_NOTHING HAPPENS WITHOUT THE PERMISSION OF ALLAH_*. BismilLah.  Even though feelings of Panic, stress/worries etc are part of life, they must not reduce our acts of worship or trust in ALLAH. The more a man turns to ALLAH and focuses on HIM, the more he will feel a sense of peace and comfort, to an extent that no one knows except ALLAH. Hence those who know ALLAH, are close to HIM and fear HIM are the happiest of people, to such an extent that one of them said, in a well-known expression: “If the kings and the sons of kings knew what joy we have, they would fight us for it with the sword.” This is also what is expressed in the Qur’an, as ALLAH says: “Whoever works righteousness, whether male or female, while he (or she) is a true believer (of Islamic Monotheism) verily, to him ALLAH will give a good life (in this world with respect, contentment and lawful provision), and ALLAH will p
